Ok, its a 400. The vin number probably should read M3C or M3G. That is a very nice car. Production was 4,118 for the 400 2bbl. For sure, don't put a 4speed in it. Yep, I like the cut in name and logo also over the chrome emblems.

Way to nice of a car to change anything. I vote for restoring it to stock. Keep the auto transmission and exterior paint colors.

nice score! my 73 charger came with 72 taillights and a hideaway grill - ill never sell it lol

talked with him on a price he says 5,000 is that a good deal or maybe look for something else?
Looking at the pics, I couldn't see any quarter or roof rust. $5,000 is a great price. When he quoted that price, if he didn't hesitate, I would be prepared to pay that, but still offer $4,500 or $4,700. Trust me, I have seen really bad 73 and 74s for $8,000 to $10,000 and they had rust. If I had the room, I would buy it in a minute.

i think the only changes i would make would be not to put the vinyl top back on it was the half top just redo the roof and paint it red to match then do the stencil job on the hood get the rear valance panel with cut outs for the tips, replace the hood pins and cables from year one, redo the interior the same white, basicaly the car would stay the same the only changes would be no vinyl top. the hood treatment and a rear valance panel with cut outs

Sounds like a plan. Forgot that the 318 and 400 2bbl didn't have the cut outs on the pan. Does it have the bumper guards? The 73 & 74 have slots cut in the pan for the guard brackets, kinda crappy looking if no guards. Might try a '72 pan since it didn't have the slots, but I don't know if it bolts up the same.

just went to the bank today and got preapproved for the loan i was able to get enough to buy the car plus get some work done on my 67 gtx silver bullet clone we both agreed that i need to pay off my truck first which will only be a few months from now i went back over to my freinds house and told him about it he seems pretty honest about working with me with the charger. he dosent have it advertised anywhere and says that so far the only ones that know about the car is just me and him so we will see. :toothy9::grin:

just want to share a few pics of my other project, this is what she looked like when i brought her home. runs good and fast and a blast to drive
