Move in next month. Garage is 40'x22' and not a pole or obstruction in it. Just a clean slate to start with. Lot is a 1/2 acre so just enough room for a shop some day. :toothy9:

NICE!! You can always tell a car guy when the most important aspect of a new home is the garage and the "extra cars" area around the house!

When I bought my home, it was more important that it had a three car garage and room to put a driveway to the side. One of my first projects was to add the side driveway, an extra 40 feet of parking behind a gate at the side!

Funny I thought that looks like SoCal too, then I saw your name! What's up neighbor?! That'll be the first job for us too, so we can get the toy hauler in there. Did you frame and pour yours or have a crew come in? Nice pavers and fencing too. Can't say I have that skill down but know some folks that do.

I had a crew do the concrete, but I did the pavers. It was my first attempt at laying pavers, it came out okay and it's still just as flat and solid.

My second attempt at pavers was the back patio... it's held up well, too. It was a much bigger project... about 776 pavers that I laid out! I think it helps that the ground is solid as concrete, so I had a good base!

What part of San Diego are you moving to? I get that direction from time to time. Nice touch that your garage floor is already done. I wish I had done that to mine but I was so anxious to get in... it took nearly 11 months from the time I put down a deposit on the property until I moved in!

Thanks guys. It will look like WWII for a couple months once we're in and unpack but I'll have enough room to make a nice shop for the car, toys, and the Missus. She's parked in the garage since day one so that's a must.

BP318 we're heading to Ramona, just over the hill from where we're at now in Escondido. Tons of classic cars and shops out there. Their high school Ramona High was on the "Drag Race High" tv show on Speed awhile back.

Built a 24x32 in my back yard. The attached garage on the house is for our drivers and the lawn stuff, the back garage in the pics is ALL MINE! Heated, insulated, epoxy floors.

gregs70, I have just enough property for a garage just like yours. Did you build from blue prints, garage kit, or scratch? Seems to be plenty of good kits out there.

I remember when Ramona residents only needed to tell people the last four digits of their phone number (the only prefix back then was 789). We used to go riding up in the hills past Ramona Estates.

Thanks. We ride dirt bikes mostly and Barona MX is 5 minutes away and we can still get to Pala in 45 minutes. Not sure if they like bikes on the horse trails there. My car has been under a car cover and neglected so it'll be good to get some indoor space and get it going.
