Welcome to this site from another fellow Hoosier, nice Road Runner.
This is the car as it currently sits, just needs the windshield and back glass installed and it's done. This is a numbers matching car with 2 tone paint which is somewhat rare.
Here is the deal on 2 tone painted RR's; in 1969 Chrysler produced about 656 hardtops in 2 tone paint and like you I don't ever remember seeing one back in the day. I always wondered why guys would look at the fender tag and scratch their heads. But the build sheet and tag show that it had a V02 paint code. I only know of 3 that still exist but there are probably more. Never saw one at the Nats either.Welcome and what a bitchen car. What's the deal on the two-tone paint? I can't say I've ever seen that on a Roadrunner. (Then again, I can't tell ya what I had for breakfast, gettin old sucks).
Maybe a pair of bifocals are in order here.:glasses6: You do realize the top is painted white?Hey Rev,put yer glasses on,it's all one color:bootyshake:
The car does make me GREEN with envy:munky2:
I wasn't the one that felt bad about being old. I'm only 25 but for some reason God has me in a 60 year old body. I have 5 grandchildren, the oldest is either 19 or 20 years old.welcome granpa. don't feel bad, i just turned 50 today and my wife and i have 8 grandkids with 1 on the way.
Redi Strip in Indy. I had my Barracuda media blasted but I like the acid dip method a lot better.Hey MoparG...where did ya have your car dipped at? Great car and welcome BTW
