Do you all have local cruise-ins where you live? We have quite a few in this area. In town here I belong to a club that has a cruise every Monday night from around 5 - 8pm. We started it about a year ago and it is open to anyone that wants to attend - now or old cars - or not. A neighboring town has another weekly cruise on Tuesday nights and monthly in several other close by towns. Although there are a lot of old cars and hot rods in my town we seem to struggle getting this one to grow appreciably. These are a few shots of tonights event. Besides my Plymouth the only other regular Mopars are a nice little 54' Dodge "hemi car" (241 ci) and another fellow with a 28' Chrysler. Every now and then another old Mopar will show up but they are few and far between....

Because of the weather, our cruise nights only start in May, and usually include about 1/3 Mopars...
Last Friday, a few of us braved the cold to look at the new meeting place, there was a photographer from a local website who took a cool pic of my car:

There will be 250-300 cars this summer, depending on the weather...

We kept ours going all winter - although even down here during January and February, they didn't amount to much more than an excuse to eat at Smithfields ..... We also moved them to saturday afternoon during the winter to try and capitalize on the sun.
We need to figure out how to get more cars coming. I'm not sure what we are doing wrong. There are a lot of old (and newer) hotrods around here but we can't seem to draw them out...

I know a few of our local show/cruises started earlier this month but i'm waiting for my car to be finished, hopefully it'll look like a new car.

We hold ours year round here in North Florida at 4 different locations and it's split about 50/50 old and new. Different cars show up at each location, so you get something new to look at each week. 10 years running that I know of. We even have a DJ that plays for free.

Great cars - especially the Mopars of course! Hemi-Itis, is that a weekly cruise in that you have pictured?? That looks huge!

Here are a few pics from our local shows.

We have one monthly show at a BBQ place (goleta), then four pretty good yearly shows called Wheels & Waves (santa barbara), Wheels & Windmills (solvang), Rods & Roses (carpinteria), and the Multiple Sclerosis benefit show (santa barbara city college).

I was crusin back in the 60's before it was "The thing to do". It was a ritual on weekends and we all went to EatnPark and filled the lot up. All makes and models and there was always a few cars that would leave during the evening but rarely did both come back.:tongue8:

The train station is every Friday night. In the heat of the summer there can be over 300 cars!!!
I really dig seeing all the pic's from around the world of poker runs, cruze in's and hang outs. The big Sunday shows are great also.It does'nt matter where we are,East coast to west coast,Canada to San Diego to the Keys,Finland,England,Germany and down under. We all share the same love of the MOPAR:bootyshake:

Here are some pic's of one of many choices i have for Tuesday nights,it's in the town of Oyster Bay Long Island where Billy Joel lives. His motorcycle shop is in town and he is a regular at the cruse in:tongue8:
