67 B Body w/5speed Auto

Can anybody tell me if a new style V-8 as in a 6.1, with a 5 speed auto fit the floor pan of a 67 B body Satellite ? I know the engine will fit but does the trans fit the tunnel ? Will the trans bolt up to a 340 or 360 small block ?....Thanks John

Thengine will fit with the mounts from TTI. Trans will fit after you cut the tunnel to make it wider and of course you'll need to fab a new crossmember. The bolt pattern is small block so the trans will bolt up to a la or magnum small block. As far as I know, knowone makes a stand alone controller for the nag1 or 545rfe trans.

So does anyone make a crossmember yet or is still a make at home part?

Not yet, so your on your own for that. The good news is that if you use your original, it will work. Stuff eng/trans in, get your drive shaft angle, now bolt in the crossmember. Now you just need to fab some kind of bracket. Not gonna lie to ya, it took me about 4-5 attempts before I was satisfied, so dont get bummed if you need to do again and again.
