It was a little smaller than last year but the crowd was - as usual - excellent. Enjoy the pics.

An unrestored 69 HEMI GTX. The current owner bought this mildly modified car in the mid 70's for $2500.00 and just kept it going over the years. It has it's bumps and bruises here and there but I'd be happy to own it as is!

70 HEMI Cuda Shaker with 10K original miles. Car was repainted in the original color but retains many of it's original parts. The work the owner did to preserve the originality of this car is amazing.

66 HEMI Charger 4 spd. Just like mine but the color combo is reversed.

Local band Taboo Guru with exceptionally talented female vocalist. Yeah, she is hot too!

The silly little English car is the original Mini and belongs to my buddy, who happens to be an extremely talented fabricator. This one is a 63 and is far from stock, complete with full cage and active air over oil suspension that he designed and built himself. He also managed to find and shoe horn in a Ford Cosworth twin cam formula engine and mate it to an Escort transaxle. The car was built in the 80's.

As usual it was a blast!!!!! Thanks for putting it on. The people that didn't make it really missed out! Great food, great people, great music, what more could you ask for.

Random pics of my shop showing my carb display and a few engines I have on the shelf.

The other local band is the Rev Tones. They are a kick *** rocabilly band and are quite busy doing gigs all over the place. I highly recommend you check them out if they are in your area. The drummer is also a car guy and I actually bought my green 66 Bel from him a few years ago and we just stayed in touch.

Now, y'all are probably wondering what's with the strange looking 56 Vette. No, he didn't run out of money or time. This "half restored" car was intentional and most likely to show the before and after of this true barn find. He get's a lot of attention at shows and I can only imagine what people thought as he was making his trip from CA to WI and back.

Looks like is was pretty nice get together Meep....Gotta love the smaller shows. Heck of a lot more personal. Thanks for the pix!

OK folks, it's that time again. The annual missile base car show in San Ramon. Aug 25th at my shop. Starts around 11:00 and usually goes on till 5 or so. Live band and BBQ. I have no idea how many people are coming (seems I'm the last to know) so I will provide ball tip and basic drinks for 40 people. Think day camp so bring chairs.

The rules are to bring a relic of American automotive history 1975 or older and a small side dish. Even a Pinto or a Vega running or not! Bench racing is highly recommended and encouraged!! It would be nice to see the local FBBO folks, or even the not so local for those who want to make the drive. Wife / GF / kids / dogs are welcome. Just no raccoons - we have plenty. PM me if you plan to come by and I'll give you directions.

Love it! Looks like a hell of alot of fun. What's the story on the jet boat?

Hey Matt, I'm just digging up this old post. That's a 76 Tahiti Super Tiger with a 12JC Berkeley pump and an Olds 455. I got it from the original owner back around 2000. You can call this a survivor because the gel coat and interior is original! The engine is pretty much stock with a very mild Crane cam but it still manages to get to 58 MPH with the original non rebuilt pump. I can probably make a few tweaks to the pump and hit 62, maybe a bit more. The best part is it's paid for, super reliable, not bad on fuel and I love skiing behind it!

Man that would be cool to make that but my car is not ready. Hopefully next year.
