70 coronet R/t rear finish panel

As far as I know no one repops those panels and I doubt they ever will. The letters aren't even repopped. I'm assuming that if someone did they would be big money. Are you looking for one? I have one........see pics below.

That is a nice looking panels. Who did you get to restor it or is an origanl one that is NOS?

Yeah no one restores these and if you find someone who can refinish them make sure you check them out. There is a thread on the Coronet registry bored that had a lot of problems getting his done.

If you can find a 500 parts car look at the panel they are the same. Good luck on it and man the one above is awesome.

If I still had my R/T we would be talking.

I have one as well of of a Coronet 500 that I've been parting out over the last couple years. Not as nice as the panel above but still a nice part.

I restored that panel guys. I'm always looking for cores.

It was in very rough shape and needed a ton of hours to restore. Thanks for the comments. I have done a few super bee panels as well. It isn't perfect, but I think it came out bad ***. IMHO.

tail panel resto

If anyone is in need of a tail panel resto I have some down time this fall and winter. So far I have done a 68 coronet, 70 charger, several 70 super bees and a 70 coronet R/T. PM me if interested. Price varies and depends on what you are looking for and the condition of the panel you have.....if you have one.

Hello Gentleman

I know a guy who has an NOS rear finish panel for a 1970 Superbee. Comes complete with Superbee emblem. It is still in the wrapper, having never been opened. I believe he wants about $2300.00USD for it, which is a pile of money. If you have a big money car and are looking for perfection, that part is for you.

I'm not interested in buying it but I would like to see what a $2300 part looks like. Is this the same guy that has had his NOS panel on ebay for a really long time now?

Hello!

Well, it is just a perfect piece. A old friend of mine who was a long time Mopar enthusiast died last summer, and this guy bought out his parts. The guy that owns the panel currently owns a repair shop in my city. I have no idea if he has the part on ebay.

How much are you asking for the panel

He hasn't been on here in some time, and I hope he is doing well as he had some health challenges, but @Wile E had at least one of these panels.

The old school artisans who could repair and bring these types of panels, and materials back from the dead are getting fewer and fewer.

When I restored a 68 Cornet 500 convertible back in the 90's there was no repro trim parts so had to find a decent set of lower rocker mouldings that were beat up but at least didn't have screw holes in them, local old timer brought them back from the dead and they were absolutely perfect! Think he charged me $150 for the hours of work and polishing he did!

I know, old thread, but I have a friend in Venezuela searching for one Coronet 70 R/T finish panel. Nicer as posible on a tight budgect considering will need to be overseas shipped. Having no one, any decent panel nice priced is good.

Venezuelan assembled Coronets “R/T”s got regular finish panels and tail lights, however this friend found an imported real R/T beated by the time and odd previous owners, so maybe worth the try to restore being MAYBE one of the only real R/Ts available around. So far so good by the moments is the only one known.
