Short Version:
Looking for the rods that run from the tab on the door lock cylinder to the actual lock mechanism. Need them for both doors on a 69 Roadrunner.

Long Version:
When I got the car I never checked to see if the keys worked in the doors. A few weeks ago I tried,.. no-go. So I ordered a new 3 piece set, Ignition and 2 Door Lock cyls, all keyed the same. Today I put the ignition cylinder in, no problem. I pop off the door trim panel and see that someone has removed the link rods from both doors. I assume they did this because they didn't have a key....no too smart since you could still lock the doors from the inside with the plunger and still lock yourself out!

At any rate, I now am in need of the link rods for both sides.
Can anybody help a brother out? Or steer me a vendor that sells them?

Thanks and Happy Holidays !!

EBAYYYYYYYYYYYYY..........young skywalkerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......theres tons of them thereeeeeeeeeeeee.............use the SCHWARTZZZZZZZ!!!

Nope, none on ebay. I already looked there. Searched "roadrunner door lock" & looked at 794 matches....not 1 door lock link rod..
....none...zero...zip...zilch...nada....
Also checked Classic Industries, Dale's Cuda Shop, Herb's Parts.

Here is a pic to help identify what is missing. I need to go from the lock cylinder (upper right) to the mechanism (center left)

Need for both doors.
Thanks, Mike

I picked up a load of 68-70 b body parts over the summer.
I'll look and see if I have those parts. there was a bunch of door parts in the load.
I'll look Friday when I go to my shop.

I'm not sure of the interchange compatibility, but I have a pair of them from a 64 dodge. Mine measure 2 3/4 inches from hole to hole. 20 bucks shipped if you think they will work, I will include the clips as well.

I'm pretty sure the ones you found will not work with his door.
You are correct, Dartforforty, those appear to be for the door button, not the locks.

I think I have located a set from another member.
I'll keep you posted.

You have a PM on the parts. I included the clips. Look at Brandon's picture about 4 posts above to see how they install. The rod will go in the hole closest to the door skin and the clip will slide on from the door skin side towards the inner door. As Brandon's picture above shows, the clip holes will be visible. The other side pinches the rod to retain it.

My Thanks go out to Dave--dsd1967 and to Mike--jburt,(fount27)
