Mopar Fast Ratio Steering Linkage Kit
Upgrade your steering setup today with PST’s brand NEW Fast Ratio Steering Linkage Kit. PST had you Mopar Fans in mind when designing this kit. It will enhance the steering capabilities of your A,B or E Mopars. Our kit includes our Fast Ratio Pitman Arm, Idler Arm and the more robust 11/16” inner and outer tie rods ends. To tie the inner and outer tie rods together we have included PST’s solid Adjusting Sleeves. This kit will give you the best of both worlds, the steering ratio of a high performance AAR Mopar and the Heavy Duty steering components seen on the land yachts of the Mopar C bodies.
• The Fast ratio gives you quicker steering response.
• Solid Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeves. Machined from a solid block of hex steel. These reduce/eliminate the deflection seen in the factory sleeves
• Better Handling
• 11/16” solid adjusting sleeves that are normally found on the larger C bodies are now available for your A, B &E body Mopars
• Less turns of the steering wheel to get the wheels to turn a given distance.
• A plus for parking by having the reduced ratio.
• Works with Manual or Power Steering cars

Application:
1973-1976 A-Body Cars (Dodge Dart Sport, Dodge Dart, Plymouth Valiant, Plymouth Scamp, Plymouth Duster)
1966-73 B-Body Cars (Dodge Charger, Dodge Coronet, Dodge Super Bee, Plymouth GTX, Plymouth Roadrunner, Plymouth Satelite)
1970-1974 E-Body Cars (Cuda, Challenger)
Note: May not clear some aftermarket headers

Are you able advise which headers this kit wont work with?

I've got a set of Hooker 1 7/8" headers for a 440 in a 68 b-body. Will these clear or am I going to have clearance problems?

I sorry these will not clear with your set up they only work with the small block 1 5/8" from Hooker.

Thanks

$239 is a great buy when you consider buying just the pitman and idler arm alone. DON'T WAIT ON THIS PRICE

Doesn't the "fast ratio" also increase the effort needed to turn the wheel?

That idler shown in the pic wont work on a 66 B-body, do you offer the correct one?

I believe that arm should work for your vehicle. What part of it are you questioning the clocking ?

Thanks

I need to make a correction here. This was my mistake in the listing. The idler arm will not work on the 66 B bodies but the pitman will work with your factory idler. So This listing will now be for 1967 -73 B Bodies. I apologize for the mistake.

Does this kit provide the same steering ratio as the original Mopar fast-ratio arms for the T/A-AAR cars?

Also, would this kit also work on later model B-bodies (like the Cordoba, Magnum, etc.)?

It will give you the same ratio as the T/A and AAR but as for it fitting a later model b body I do not know. The applications above are the ones that I was given. I would need to check in to it further myself

Sorry for the slow response propwash. I only got the notification now. As of right now the only headers this set up will work with that we know of is the following. ( It may work with others as well but these are the only ones that we have currently tested)

Flo Tech, Hedman Big Block part #78030 & 78038 HD
Hooker small block 1 5/8” comp. 1 ¾” comp #5208
Mopar Performance Big Block 1 ¾”
TTI Small Block I ¾” with slight dimple to tube.

Thanks

Doesn't the "fast ratio" also increase the effort needed to turn the wheel?
My only experience with the fast ratio setup was on a factory equipped 71 340 Cuda. They only came with power steering but to answer your question, yes, any time you increase the steering ratio, it will increase steering effort but with PS, it's not an issue.

The 67 K frame should have the same mount setup as a 66 but it's been a long time since working on a 67. IIRC, the factory didn't change the idler mount until 68.

Does this kit provide the same steering ratio as the original Mopar fast-ratio arms for the T/A-AAR cars?

Also, would this kit also work on later model B-bodies (like the Cordoba, Magnum, etc.)?
The cars that came with the fast ratio setu also came with a faster steering box so the answer would be no but it will be better than a stock non-fast ratio setup.

Unless the pitman arm is longer than the original setup, it won't be as fast.

Doesn't fast ratio risk quick steer issues? which can lead to unstable hi speed over steer issues?
My factory setup didn't do any of that and I really liked it and never had any problems running well over 120...

No sweat James. I appreciate the response either way. Makes a big impression when a vendor actually takes the time to respond to your questions. I appreciate it.

Take Care
