Just found this forum a few days ago, and I have been impressed with the amount of knowledge on so many subjects that I have found.

Here's my story: I grew up in a Mopar family (dad was a dealer parts manager from late 60's until retirement in 2008.) My car is a 72 Charger SE that my parents almost bought in 72, but having 2 young kids, decided to wait another year for a larger down payment. Almost closed the deal next year on a 73 Charger, when the 72 SE came back to the dealership on a trade-in cuz the buyer decided he didn't like bucket seats (so they sold him a used Lincoln Town Car.) Parents got the SE with 4000 miles on it. Mom ran it up to 71000 miles on the original 318before parking it in 1983, a year after I got my license (passed my driver's test in that car.) I pestered mom and dad and finally got the car for graduation in 1985. Drove it daily until 1996, rebuilt the 318 and warmed it up some in 1989. Had body, paint, and vinyl top redone in 1996 and she's been indoors or under cover ever since. Transplanted a 440, 727 trans, and 9 1/4 rear with SS springs in 2002 to make it more fun to drive. Last had it out for the 100 ft street drags held during a local car show last July. Pics posted on the 71-74 section.
