The Plymouth division went through numerous slogans, including the following:
"If it's important to you, it's important to Plymouth" (early 1990s)
"The nine most important words to Plymouth: Satisfy the customer, satisfy the customer, satisfy the customer" (late 1980s)
"The pride is back, born in America" (mid and late 1980s)
"Now that's imagination, that's Plymouth!" (late 1970s)
"Chrysler-Plymouth, coming through!" (mid 1970s)
"And the Plymouth win-you-over beat goes on!" (late 1960s and early 1970s)
"Plymouth is out to win you over this year" (mid-1960s)
"Plymouth - star of the Forward Look" (late 1950s)

And my favorite: "Everybody offers a car. Only Plymouth offers a system."

Dodge all the way ... i like plymouths and even the land yaht chryslers ! and like said before, alot of dodge/plymouths are the same car ... but if i gotta pick one it is Dodge !

Hey ask the guys at Dodge and Plymouth marketing to vote, they hate eachother. Those guys were competing against eachother which was really weird.:tongueflap:

True, they competition for sales was Firece, ......The Super Bee was Dodge's answer to the Road Runner, just like the competition between the Coronet R/T and GTX.

But the Chrysler Corp loved it, It gave the people more choices and the sales still went in their pockets either way.

Was no different at The General;back when brand identification meant something in Detroit,Buick hated Pontiac which hated Olds and they all hated Chevrolet. Product and performance meant something.

This is kind of like choosing between the two lovelies in Alleyoopmgv's "Great Rack" post. VERY difficult to do.

Well to be frank that was the point of my post. That the cars of yesteryear were actually an adventure to be loyal to, with their respective brands.

Well said;you know, that "intense dislike" continued even into the 1980's,especially between the Turbo Buick crowd(who I worked with) and the Bow-Tie Brigade. At least in the Engineering departments,as well as on the street.

I gotta go with plymouth. And not that anyone asked i love the 68-70 b's over basically anything ever built.

I prefer more Plymouth bodies over a broader year span than the Dodges, so I vote Plymouth.

Then there's the 69 Charger....Love that car!

Always been a Plymouth man, and now they are not around anymore makes me value them even more.
Guess I have a soft spot for the orphans.
AL

I love both, but I'm a Plymouth guy. But the Chargers (especially '68) I think are RAF!
