My wife and I had a very nice 16 LTZ impala limited we both liked the older
( limited ) impala body style.
The newer impala body's have shrunk like most all cars. Like a dumb azz we traded for a newer equinox , only 24 k on it but we / I do not like it.

We are looking a a few 2019 - 20 chrysler 300 models, 3.6 rear wheel drive.
If any of you guys have one what's your opinion of them.

Me & my dad bought a 2017 300s (lil' lower, wider low profile tires & 5.7 hemi powered)
Same as a 300c, with the optional & relatively rare, "sport appearance package"
front & rear spoilers & special wheels/tires
for my sister $27k + tax & lic. for a $40k+ car back then,
Dark Graphite exterior & dark graphite leather interior
w/red stitching, leather everywhere, dash doors seats steering wheel
loaded like 23 options, crazy BOSE (?) stereo/sound system & NAV, in dash display
very quick car, very nice to drive, handled very well, rode very nice too
(surprised with the rubber band tires it had)
nice really roomy & sporty 4 dr sedan, I could fit in the back easily & comfortable
she drove it a lot, put like 25k miles a year on it

unfortunately it got crushed "totaled" by a 6' x 50' trunk of an 200 year old oak tree
fell through her garage & living room, in Redbluff Ca. in a wind storm a couple years back
they only gave her $17k for it settlement
got like $150k for the house to be fixed, by a local nightmare contractor (long story)
my niece was sleeping on the coach, in the living room & got her pelvis crushed, too

a lighter color, but the same car

it was Dec. 2017, they were highly discounted, wanted to move them,
2018s 300c's were getting unloaded while we were there
we actually got the dealer demo, the dealer's GM was driving it, to & from his place & work
(was Motherlode Motors back then)
with 1500-ish miles on it, (IIRC) for her 60th BD/Dec. 20th & she loved it
she was diving some POS Toyota SR5 reg cab long bed mid-1980's PU with 350k miles prior

IIRC @Dennis H has a newer 300c, like a candy red (?)
he could fill you in more
I doubt it's for sale though

I rented one for a long road trip once and loved it. It had me thinking about buying one... but they only get average or worse consumer ratings for reliability, repairs, and resale.... so you are rolling the dice.

The cars are well built and excellent to drive and comfortable. I have an 08,son has 09 both C‘s I know they aren’t as new, but a lot hasn’t changed underneath. If & when they did they made good revisions . As owner of an older one I would definitely by one up to 23, V8 only. I’ve worked on them all and really think they got better over time and were really a refined platform after all the Diamler was out. Its terrible they stopped building them. I feel they had the bugs out of them! The finally was the last series of 300s with a 6.4 .. The SRT was the gentlemen’s hot rod.
If you hang on to them for a real long time they rust on the front of the rear quarter dog legs and across the top of the wheel arch so treat it upon purchase , there is foam in there.

I bought my 300C new in 2005. It has served me well for 20 years and I expect it to last the rest of my life. It averages around 18 mpg. It has all the bells and whistles I need. I don't let it idle for any length of time and change the Mobil one oil at 5000 mile intervals and have never heard a tick from the Hemi. I'm thankful it doesn't have the Tire pressure sensors and lane changing warnings the newer stuff has.
How embarrassing to have the pollution control valve stick in front of all those people though.

I own a '14 with the 3.6l 8 speed and it's my daily driver. Replaced a 2000 LHS.
Pros
Comfortable
good power with 3.6l.
Good gas mileage.
Okay to work on from above but sits too low for driveway undercarriage work.
Cons
Limited trunk space compared to the LHS
I'm 6'3" and it's tough to see traffic lights at the stop light stop line with the windshield.
I don't care for the electronic gearshift engagement would rather have a cable.
I don't care for the push button stop start switch either would rather have a key.
Adding features and options requires PCM update that has to be performed at dealer. (I added back up camera and fog lights.)

But they only get average or worse consumer ratings for reliability, repairs, and resale.... so you are rolling the dice.
That has been said on just about every Chrysler product made in the last 55 years... It's just about standard equipment at this point.

Funny how that works they say they are garbage but mine have all outlasted the other brands and I’ve been well satisfied .. My rare dealer services though have been lack luster. I wonder how many $$ flow to various reporting companies to make their product better than others. Look at Ford they may sell the most but I think it’s a toss up on who has the most driveline failures .. eco boost anything, the 6.7 diesel oil issues, fuel pump failures and what not.. no body is better than the other it really depends on what you like and what you can work on! GM can’t stop importing anything other than an LS and those fail like crazy , Toyota has oil consumption issues, Honda catches fire..

My first new car ever was a 2007 300C red. Loved that car - had 225,000 Kms on it when I bought a 2023 300C with 6.4 L 49Hemi 485 HP Velvet Red Pearl - the last of the 300C line. Love it the best.

2016 300S 3.6l , 112,000 miles. Ive changed oil and filters, have replaced the thermostat and 2 sets of tires. Gets 30+ mpg on highway, has all the get up and go needed for a dd. I need to replace the plugs and service rear differential, thinking about trans filter too. Im 6’2 and I usually have the seat slightly ahead. Very comfortable and quiet inside. I dont care for keyless start or the rotating shift knob.

Thanks for the replies, it us good to hear from guys that have owned them.
We did buy a 2019 Limited Edition today with 52k on it. 3.6 , leather, alpine tunes, new rubber and very clean, good carfax , regular dealership service by the 2nd owner.
It was a 2 owner with Enterprise being the 1st.
Got rid of that Equinox .
