How do you lower a b-body... for instance my 67 belvedere II, its definatly set to have the gasser look, I do want to drop it to have a more subtle look.

does anyone know how to lower teh car using the torsion bars?

right now im at this:
as you can see the ft fender is about 3 inches above the top of the tire.

What I want:
either just at or just past the the top of the tire tread with the fender.

Your torsion bars are adjustable for the height of the front of the car. either Google the question or wait for somebody to respond that actually remembers how to do it, it has been years.

Just back off the cam bolt for the T-bars, it's in/on the lower control arms. But you should know it will change how the car rides/handles.

Thanks guys, Im assuming i have to jack the car in the air to do this correctly, right?

No you don't, last time I did it the car was on all fours and I watched it lower as I made the adjustment.

ah Ok good to know, thanks Matt. do you remember off the top of your head what tool were needed... that way I can take them tool home with me before leaving work.

if i remember right a 3/4 or 7/8 socket and 1/2 inch ratchet

You need a 13/16" socket and half inch drive ratchet. Back the adjusting bolts out 3 turns each. Thats about 2" let the car down and push it back and forth a coupe of times to let the bars settle. Then repeat one turn at a time till your happy. If it gets to low run the bolts back in a turn and recheck. Be sure you count turns and do both sides the same.

What he said!!

sweet, Ill do that today hopefully, I just need to make sure I have enough time to adjust my camber and toe angle by eyeballing it.

just keep in mind once you have your desired ride hieght you will need to have it realigned. it will throw the camber off!

when changing anything always look at the chain reaction! cause and effect!
