RIP,Ronnie. I remember when the first Rainbow LP came out;always thought that the lead-in on that album was well-done. RJD and Blackmore made a hell of a combination until the "artistic differences" took hold.

I saw him with Black Sabbath a couple of times in '81/'82. He had a great voice. The '81 show in Milwaukee ended with a riot. They walked off the stage after some idiot threw a bottle that hit Geezer Butler. They had played only about 3 songs. I didn't blame them a bit for walking off. That was the most cop cars I'd ever seen in my life up to that point.

Someone chunked a whiskey bottle into the lights at a Zappa concert I was at. Frank stopped the show, had the "big lights" turned on, the offender found and subsequently ejected.

Then he said "Happens again, and it's over." Then he turns to the band, says something, gives a downbeat, and they hit it like they had never been interrupted.

Yep, I'm still bummed. Great singer and will be missed by many. I just saw him about a year ago with Maiden and Motorhead.

that would have been a great show is bruce back with maiden now ?

Don't know if he's back but he was there that night. He's a pilot for some Icelandic airline so maybe that gets in the way.
