Hello all !

Are there any intake manifolds that interchange with the 318 ploy ?

Thanks, Rick

Best I know of, the only intake that fits are those made for that motor.

Hi , i have a four barrel on my poly ,came out with a 2 barrel.the earlier small blocks you can change .

Hey Rick
277, 301, 303, 313, 318 & 326 polys should all have same intake. But all of those other sizes are more oddball than the 318, so they aren't necessarily easy to find.

Mopar made a dual 4bbl manifold in the later 50's. Weiand made a single 4 bbl manifold until a few years back. I understand that Holley and possibly Offenhauser also made 4 bbl manifolds. None of these manifolds are available today, unless you search Ebay or Craigslist and get lucky, and even then, they are usually way overpriced.

Another option is the find a bigger two barrel and hog out the holes in your 2 bbl manifold to fit. An adapter may also be necessary. On my own 318 poly I plan to use an Autolite 2100 with the 1.33 holes, until I too get lucky.

Well "overpriced" is a relative term. Lets call it supply meeting demand. In an auction situation, high bid, ie ones' valuation, gets it. Conversely no one ever calls 318 2 bar intakes too 'cheap' at $5.
The intake and headers is all one can do to improve a poly 318. Next best idea is to put in a 361 /383.
I do wish the aluminum 4 Bar were made again.

Innncorrect!

Many parts interchange with the LA engines. A 4 inch or greater stroke crank can be used along with LA rods, bearings, valve springs, etc....

Cams can be made brand spankin new. Racer Brown comes to mind for new grinds. The poly's head is the greatest obstruction in power making while also being a great bennifit to the engine.

Forgot about the three duce. When I say over priced, I'm thinking strictly about the wallet. My wallet...in today's economy. The last Weiand single four I saw on Ebay started at over $400 and I've seen the OEM single four go for nearly $600. I'll make my own before I pay that. There are probably quite a few polys still running around out there, but the 'demand' just isn't high enough to generate those prices.
