Is there a particular way to get the wipers to tuck back under the hood or should they go back underneath on their own?

Should park under the hood on their own. Could be the switch or the relay in the motor.

Do they make new or reconditioned wiper motors?

Is there a simple way to test this or know whether it's the switch or the relay?
Just got my wipers working yesterday with new bushings. What a pain they were to access in the cowl. They don't go to PARK by themselves without a nudge.

For the wipers to park the switch swaps over the polarity to the motor ie swaps the positive wire to the terminal that was negative & the motor reverses direction & then parks. If its not parking it may have the wrong switch fitted & it may be faulty.
