...and also the "what are the odds" file.

Found this on ebay last night.

Almost exactly the same car as the one I just bought.

No side molding and I think mine had the 2/3 top instead of the full (can't find evidence of the C pillar trim).

This one's a 76,000 mile car, and is slightly cleaner under the hood, but my interior is much better.

Seems like sometimes a pack of very similar cars turns up all within a few weeks.

The car I posted has 76K, mine has 54K.
It is white, as is mine.
It has a taxicab interior- bench with a floor mat, but has a/c, like mine.
It appears unmolested, as does mine (well, mostly).

That Sundance looks pretty cool.
Is that the factory stripe package?

I know most don't like the tops because of rust issues but they sure look good to me, That 3rd one in your post rog_allen looks cool with the color and the black top, the stickers on the bulge hood.. Good price gos with it but i like that one.. I had a different brand car painted that color with a white vinyl top, always loved the color combo.. Thanks you guys for posting! Im not looking to buy one but they are nice cars, and YY1 your interior is a bunch better shape i think, im curious if your putting in the rally dash, i think they do look good in the Sattys..

I've got a rallye cluster I can put in. Maybe later.
I'm kind of enjoying the sweep speedo.
I even have a sweep tach I'm trying to dig out of storage.

Right now I've got a set of white (correct) buckets in, and am planning on taking the bench to the upholsterer's. He said $100, and is confident he can match the color and grain of the small panel that's ripped. I might ask for a bit more foam, as it kind of chaps my ***. Must be thin. I can feel the spring right on the bone.

The floor mat in the back was very brittle and cracked to pieces :(
I did find a build sheet under each seat.
I have one on the copier, as it's very fragile.
Haven't fished the other one out yet.

I might also have to put rallye mirrors on it.
The dinky standard mirror is a joke, and none on the pass side is asking for trouble.
...especially with the HUGE quarters and blind spots these cars have.
Rallye mirros are alomst twice as much mirror surface, and stick out more.

I like that one and I'm watching it and I cann't believe no one has bidded on it. I wish I had someone to check it out before I bid.....but I may bid.

Those white buckets sounds kind of cool... And no passenger side mirror, you do need that, I have about 4 inches on each side of my little garage to get it in the doors, You don't, i imagine have that problem but you'll find it a plus with other things, I faced that "being to close" a couple times, she got fat hips, thats a fact. Thats cool to even find the build sheet, it doesn't surprise me when you were telling us about the car and the shape, You got a sweet deal on this one.... To bad there isint more deals like you got more often! Have fun..

How are you finding all these relatively clean cars IN DETROIT???

Good for you!! Keep it up!

...if anyone has a nice 72-74 white rear seat for a reasonable price, I'm interested.

Good Price

My mother in law bought a new one similar to it <71 ,72 ,73 ?>and it was White ext but, it was the "Sundance" model if I remember right. It also has a 3/4 or 2/3 viynl top roof ?.I do not remember it being a full roof..The viynl top was some Floral patten or some thing that was NOT a solid color from what I remember, again it was almost 40 years ago. I do recall it did have a 318 in it..The car listed on Craigslist looks like a very good deal..Enjoy Rick
