I hear ya. Tomorrow is the initial fire up of my 1966 Plymouth Satellite project. I finally made it after 7 plus years of doing this project. There were some down times where a few months lapsed. But after returning back home to CA 1 year ago, I took a sabbatical from working and started focusing on getting this project running. I still have a ways to go but for all intense and purposes, the car will be drivable and legal now. But it has worn me out. Because of that my Golf Teaching business and game have suffered along with these old bones...63 years young. Still had to crawl around on concrete to do it but I now can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will finally have "MY RIDE" built and it is done my way. When all is said and done with it, I will keep it and drive it until I no longer can. Then give it to my Nephew when I no longer can drive but that is a ways off. What I have come to realize though is that I will never do this again. This is the last of working and building MOPARS. And without deep pockets to pay some one else to do it, that this is the last one. Kind of bitter sweet but now that I am older, all I want to do is just drive....
AMEN MY BRUTHA.... go on with your bad self. drive is the name of the game anymore. dont get me wrong , i love turning wrenches....and making things " mine"...but when its all said and done....thats all i wanna do also....IS DRIVE THE DAMN THINGS! ...but as we both know...these things are never " completely done".
whoa Bundy!:headbang:
