Ebay Hemi Car

66 Satellite Hemi

66 Satellite, "Caribean Hustler", Pa. car, Originally gold paint, has 66 2x4 in-line Carter AFB's 426ci "Hemi", doesn't say it originally came with it or not, it has date coded carbs, it has a Dana-60, etc., starting bid of $29,900, currently no bids, has 11" drums & he made a Petty reference, but I think it's just name dropping, I doubt if Petty had anything to do with it, except maybe the "repaint color 99 code" possibly, but doubtfull...

So why does eveyone like these 66/67's?
I found one and I have to admit there is something about it..LOL
But what am I missing as far as muscle and history and racing goes?

Now it makes me want one even more..LOL
Coronet 440 I posted w/318 727 and like 96k on it.... Just calling out to me but no way to afford it

Well said Budnicks!

I think part of the appeal is they are not Road Runenrs, Chargers or E bodies. Meaning they are relatively cheap but function the same. I personally like the 66/67 Plymouth B bodies but I like my Road Runners and 69 Chargers too!

I've been watching that ,now and then you will see others listed, some seem to sell for a good price some they never sell, nice looking car though :headbang: not sure about her and her wine , hmmm wonder if shes a sweet or real dry :eusa_think:

according to the V.I.N. it is an original Hemi car. If it is a factory 4 speed it would also have come with the Dana.

66/67 B bodies are for the collector that is not all about the glitz, stripes, scoops, and hipo colors of the later cars. The 66/67 cars look no different than your dad's old family car. Some guys like the sleeper look, the plain 2 door sedan and the stripped down equipped cars that were all business with the hipo options. The 66/67 cars are even more non descript than the 62-65 factory race package cars that had the big hood scoops.

Hey Pops, Id rather just have a good cold beer! :) Never cared much for champagne, Thats just ginger ale that knows someone.. Now shes another story, but ill be good.. pretty gal. :love2:

Late 64 they introduced the race hemi in a race package car and through 1965 model year as the A990 package.
1966 model year was the first street Hemi and done so that they would have enough customer sales so the cars qualified for NASCAR.

Thanks. I knew they were rollin before 66.

Yep 1966 was the 1st year available to the general public, the others prier to that were very rare & usually only available to a select few Chrysler Dodge Plymouth "Corporate" Sponsored Race teams, a select few got thru into select "non-corporate sponsored teams/individuals", maybe 50 or so of each make Dodge & Plymouth of each year 64-65, they are Rare Pierre's, all the rest are just mere clones...

It does look like it would be a great car! Who wouldn't want a "HEMI" :blob1:

If any of you bastards are seriously interested in it & need someone to look at it for you, don't look at me. 45 minutes is too far for me to travel.
