Hello everyone.

Here's the car my son picked up as his first vehicle. It's something he plans to work on over the next several years and learn how to do "things to the car"

What he ended up with is a Satellite Sebring that a previous owner had tried to make into a Roadrunner. What we have here is a complete car with some issues. Body is good. but it needs a drivers side frame rail replaced along with the inner fender on the same side and a rear fender well on the passenger side. It has a 318 that has been upgraded with a 4BBL carb, intake manifold and cam. This pic is from a website but more pics will be coming soon 1972-plymouth-satellite-left-side.jpg

We're not quite sure where this will end up, but so far the plan is to keep it close to what it looks like now but make a 400hp 318 to pop into the engine compartment.

A question? Should we keep any questions to this thread? Or would it be better to start new threads?

great looking car, especially for his first!
might as well keep this thread going.

These pics are pulled from "Muscle Car Jungle" I've got some more that I took in the garage, and I'll post those soon.

I wish you and your son good luck with the car, I love how that hood looks on that, looks like a 73-74 bulge hood, or at least the bulge? Real nice..

That hood is awesome. I'm soooooo tempted to start checking CL/eBay/FBBO for a 73/74 "ruster special" hood I can rehab (and afford)....

I pulled the valve covers off and found these heads, casting # 4027163. Is it worth doing anything with them? or should we go with "302" heads?

Here are some pics of the interior.

Ive seen them from time to time, The shipping would be the killer..

Satman, looks like your head liner is in great shape!

Yes the headliner is good except for fading and a small clean tear on the back panel near the rear window.

Nice looking car. A little work on the interior and it will look like new. What was that by the battery?it looked like someone sprayed undercoating there.

What's your guys big plan as far as working on her Satman? You guys gonna decommission and do all the work in one big swoop or peg away on things one at a time.

Hey Prop, It's gonna be a slow and steady project.

The undercoat is ridiculously thick. That whole inner fender is shot and needs to be replaced. we got lucky, the interior is in relatively good shape. Other than having to replace the passenger seat cushion, everything else can stay with some clean up.

I have a 72 Road runner and i'm planning on making that same hood.
