You cant be serious. He was in rio bravo for heaven sake(even though his scenes were deleted),among many other films. Being in a john wayne films has to count for something.

Don't know Alan Hale Sr.
Alan Hale Jr. was the Skipper
Lon Chaney was the warewolf
I saw Lon Chaney Jr. dancing with the queen, doing the warewolves of London. His hair was perfect.

I'm just not into the old John Wayne movies. I understand that he was big, but he was a pretty one dimensional actor. Of course, the BEST western ever made was Blazing Saddles.

the Duke made alot of good war flicks too ! Alan Hale sr. played pirates ,cowboy, military and most of all Robin Hood 's Little John,Lon Chaney sr. was of the silent era ,Phanton of the Opera ,and Chaney jr the wolfman. Alan jr played from gangster, cowboy to the skipper on Gilligans Island .I liked alot of the old ones but one that always stuck out was when they made The Wild Bunch in 1969 -Sam Peckinpah :headbang:

Dick, If I remember correctly, but he's from the west coast, I think so, I maybe wrong too, he's semi famous, he & his father were both MLB baseball color commentary announcer/play to play radio {TV/Movie} type celebrity guys... RIP Harry Jr.
