Hey guys, Matt here.
I just joined here because of the 68 Satellite i picked up over the summer. Ive been working on putting a 440 in it slowly but surely ever since. Recently I have ran into some trouble and thought you guys could help me out. Well ill be posting my troubles in another thread but I thought I would give a little summary of my toy.
So basically when my dad was my age he had a 68 Sport Satellite and swapped in a 440 from a Dodge Monaco, this was in 1976 I believe. In 1982 he took the motor out and stored it in a shed and sold the body. 30 years after it was put away I picked up a Satellite with no motor off craigslist.

First two are the pictures from craigslist, it had a cheap coat of paint on it that wasn't original(QQ1 Blue) I painted the engine bay at the end of last fall with B5 blue because I couldn't find QQ1 and I really wanted it painted before it was too cold so I settled on what I could. But yea its not in bad shape at all, trunk full of parts and just about everything intact.

Welcome aboard. Of course the assumption is you are putting your dads old 440 in this satellite right?

Thanks everyone.
And tallhair, that is correct.

cool project & welcome to FBBO

Thanks, Hell yea I am very thankful that the shell was in the shape that it was in. Between what I had and picked up, there wasnt very much I had to pick up new. By choice I got some new/upgraded parts though. The body is pretty nice, there are a couple minor holes near the wheel well, but nothing I cant fix with some sheet metal and a welder.
And 5wndwcpe, the car actually came from your neck of the woods. The previous owner picked it up in Carslisle from the 2nd previous owner. There is a sticker on the windshield from that event 2010 or 2011 I believe.

Welcome, Matt - nice car!
