Real picture. It's the 1960 Plymouth XNR concept car. This was Virgil Exner's idea for a Corvette competitor.
With its 170 ci. slant six wound up to 250 horsepower, it was able to do 143 mph.

I think I found a picture of a 1956 Chrysler Norseman concept that looks like that. Built in Italy by Ghia for Chrysler, it was shipped over and sunk on the Andrea Doria.
