Real or Fake Mopar

here's a few

Real or fake, why would someone do that to a 68 Charger ??, or even a Gen 3 73 Charger for that matter ??... I know it's a model on the 73...

I'm surprised someone hasn't built a wagon with a Charger front clip. Is there that much of a mismatch at the door/fender line to make it a PITA project? I'm with Rusty;the idea is way cool.

Speaking of a '68-'70: You could do it, but you would have to use a charger door to make it work, which is a 2-door size. So you would need to eliminate the rear doors and mold in the quarters from a charger. Then you need to figure out how to make the door glass seal and roof line work. And finally the transition to the wagon rear. It has been done before with 2dr parts, but it isn't easy. See pictures below of a 2dr Plymouth version. Rather than deal with a hardtop conversion, he chose to convert the 2dr door frame into a sedan (smart).

A friend here in town has a 1969 Charger RT that was made into a pickup truck years ago. He cut up a donor car and made it back to original. There were spots on it that were 6" thick with bondo!

You can't even tell now. The front half still has original paint.

i remember seeing that one up for sale on flea-bay a while ago in Wisconsin IIRC. dont know if it sold though...:eusa_think:

note the proper beep-beep horn!!

I saw this car at the Ohlone show in Fremont a few years ago. Maybe it wasn't this exact car but hard to prove it couldn't have been. I don't get too excited about the early Barracudas but the Dart front end is what the factory should have done! It was a perfect fit in my opinion.

Now i need to find a wagon for my 66 charger front clip. It was on a 66 net when i bought it maybe i will build a 66 charger wagon

That would be cool, but I think the only difference between the '67 Coronet wagon/Charger front sheet metal are the hideaway headlights. Is that right?

I would like to see a good '71 Super Bee wagon done up. :headbang: That would really be neat.

how about this....

I'd say first two are real and the last one is fake.
