The thing about getting older is just that. Getting Older. I don't mind that really at all. In fact I revel in it. What I don't like is this Damn aging!!! Just diagnosed today with Cataracts and early Glaucoma. :icon_eek: Gonna have to have surgery to repair that and most likely will have 20/40 vision when it is all done. Right eye is pretty much the worse of them both. The Glaucoma thing has got me stumped though? I thought that if one were to "Smoke the Ganja ala Rastafarian" it would cure it. Guess that myth is just that...A Myth:icon_weed::icon_weed: Oh well...that ain't ever gonna change here....:blob1:

I am only 42 and have been working on my car all week and man am I sore in more than one place..WTF I know I am out of shape some but come on I use to do this all the time and was never sore.I guess out of shape and getting older getting to me,man I need to start working out...LOL

Yea I still want to do everything like when I was 20 but the aches and pains sure do slow me down a bit for sure.

In all seriousness cr8crshr, I hope you do well after the Glaucoma Eye surgery {probably Lasic ?/laser surgery}, it's a pretty common procedure nowadays, I know a few people that have gone thru it, they say it's no big deal... I hope you feel & see better soon, good luck

The older I get,the faster I forget...something like that.

I'll see 57 this June. 57? WTF? Where did the bloody time go? Why,I was just 40 a day or two ago. Now I'm paying for a couple of bike accidents,getting creamed by a fork truck back in the Eighties,years of assembly line work,twisting and turning(usually while carrying heavy ****) and wrenching in various contorted positions. Let's not forget 8 years as a welder and 7 in a foundry. Quit drinking years ago,quit puffing a while ago(still working on the cigs),and for the most part,have eaten well and taken my vitamins and consumed plenty of water.

What was the question? Oh yeah...there wasn't one. Sorry,I forgot...

Oh;I don't color my hair-most of which I still have-much to the chagrin of those who have bet me that I do. Almost got myself a Corvette on one of those wagers;I bet the titles to BOTH my Harleys against the title to a 'Vette years ago when a former supervisor claimed I did at a Christmas party years ago. He pussed out(in front of about 20 former co-workers) after shooting his yap off. Would have sold that POS and gone Mopar hunting. That has put a couple of hundred bucks in my pocket,though.:headbang:

My mom had eye surgery right there in the clinic's office. She came out good. Sure you will to. I know what you mean by getting old. What you used to be able to do all night takes you all night to do. Doesn't California have medical mary jane? Even if it doesn't help, it certainly couldn't hurt.

Oh well, getting old is bound to come and the young guys who like to call us the old farts, i just tell them, ive been where you are now, if your lucky, you will be where i am now, think about it young man, they always have a bit of a concerned look about them.

My biggest gripe is when I try and do something under the dash. I can't see a %#@*~! thing!!! Damn, everything is blurry, and it kinda hard to move your head further back when there is a brake/clutch pedal shoved into the back of your head....
