That Chebbie bashing post was awesome can we now start a Mopar VS Phord one please

Trying to add a little spice to a Sunday afternoon?

Really! Mopar folks picking on FERD or CHEBBIE??? That's like an able pirson pickin' on a special needs person. Not cool.

Ford has a .873 lifter diameter. Mopar has a .903. Nuff said.

Ford was ahead of their time with vehicle security. You had to apply enough pressure to the gear selector in park so it would start :hello2:

As a current owner of a 67 big block 4 spd Ranchero and one who put 90 K miles over ten years on a 68 Mustang, you won't find me doing much Ford bashing - except when it comes to that attempt at a front suspension and power steering system. And I'll take a SBF over a SBC any day. But I prefer MoPar over all of them!

Yep, prop that "shock absorber" style PS was kinda crazy.

Leaked, had a really flimsy ball joint and retainer, and I've been in more than one that overboosted in one direction only (and no boost in the other).

My 71 Torino GT would "catch" about 1/3 way through a left hand turn.
Real light, but you could feel it.
Not exactly confidence inspiring.
Not crazy about LBJ/LCA as an asembly, and also front coil placement.

Even being the GT model with sway bars and a fairly new front end, it was not even close to handling as well as my ragged out 70 Bee, or even my non-sway bar Coronets.

...it also had the "pinto syndrome" console shifter drop into "R" from "P", but not real bad.

I've seen that as early as a 65 mustang.

I love Mopars, but you guys just haven't lived until you've cruised down Daytona Beach or A1A during Spring Break in a 1976 Starsky & Hutch replica Gran Torino. You'll never get laid more in your life, but you do have to deal with hearing "Hey Starsky, you need a Hutch" from every gal on the street.

I have to admit, the 1972 Q code Gran Torino Sport with a 4 speed would make me want a Ford. Those to me always looked sinister.

My first US car is a Ford 1957 bought it 1982 and I still own it. Will I get banned now?

Not a big chevy fan. Cant bash fords to much. I drive a powerstroke becuase the 94-97 f350 is a stronger truck then the 94-02 dodge, truck for truck, f350 is WAY better, and has 4 full size doors! Also, the 85 460 4x4 mud truck had some serious cahonies in 4 low 3rd gear. Only got stuck once and only becuase I grenaded the drivers side hub first pass, and the passenger side on the 2nd pass, and then it sat still. and I would LOVE to have a 72 gran torino sport. Theres a red one not far from my house sitting behind a fence. Refuses to sell it of course, been sitting there for over 10yrs that i know of. Looks like longer.

Cant stand mustangs though. To many of em around, IMO

Hell I'm not a Ford hatter at all, no reason to be either, I like many cars, I just like my Mopars 1st & foremost.... But I don't like years of many Mustangs between 1974-2002 & for the most part, just because of, "some of the truly freaken' squirrelly people" that drive many of them.... Most of my fast Fords had either Chevy or Mopar drive train/power plants, weren't really true Ford's, A/A or AA/A 23 T Ford Altered w/either a 440 stroker "max wedge headed" Methanol/FI or Blown/FI Wedge or either a Methanol/FI 468ci BBC or a Blown/FI BBC... Or my 49 Ford Tudor Business coupe T/S car, for nostalgia NCTA/SCTA door slammer racing, had to be pre 1950 body style many moons ago now, 1st had a heavily N20 2x4bbl Holley Dominator BBC , then later Methanol/FI Enderle hat on a tunnel Ram with a 540 Chevy BB, then Blown/FI BBC, than later went to a Blown/FI 540ci Milidon Mastodon old T/A Hemi engine clutch/can & Jeffco trans, from a felleow racer neighbor, when I lived in Concord & Pleasant Hill Ca. areas...

i cant bash on fords too much either having owned a 70 boss mustang and a 68 cougar to name a couple. i would even take a 77 cobra over any cammode..

very dissapointed guys not living upto the Mopar or no Car, haha all good just trying to give m mate crap about his 68 rustang fastback
