Hello, I am happy to make your alls acquaintance. I have been into Mopars since I first saw one in 1976. It was a friends '68 Roadrunner. His younger brother is the one we mostly hung out with. I was able to buy my first car in the Spring of 1986 with some money I had saved up, which was a 1969 SuperBee. It was heavily faded red with a black alligator skin pattern vinyl top, a bench seat, a 727, the 383 HP and 112,000 miles on it. It also had the fresh air scoop system. Like an idiot, I traded it a year later to some guy who screwed me in the deal for a '65 Coronet 500. The 361 went out in it a month later and he insisted on keeping the Keystones that were on it, because he said they didn't make them anymore! I was young, dumb and full of stupidity. My Mopar buddies STILL get on me for that. My dad was going to get me a paint job for it for my b-day that year. They guy who stole it from me, let it get flooded twice and neighborhood kids vandalized it, probably because he is such a *%@~head. Anyways, here I am, years and years later and I really want a musclecar again and it needs to be a Mopar. I want a b-body again and I have never had a Plymouth. I want to see how the other half lives, so I am on the prowl for '65 Bel I for a daily driver. I'd like it to be a /6 for fuel economy until I can afford to feed a V8. I have a baby on the way. I hope to meet lots of you guys and I am guessing some girls are on here, too! Since I don't have a project car at this time, I don't have much to share or talk about, but I will try to chime-in with some thoughtful talk anywhere I can. Thanks and let's burn some rubber!

Welcome. Do you have any photo's of your/your friends old ride? We can at least stare at those for a while. We love pics here. But no matter welcome aboard and make it a habit to check out the for sale forums and check your local CL. I see some mid 60's Bel's, Sats, and Coronets on CL so find a tool to set some alerts and let them cars come to your email box.

Here's one http://www.list-alert.com/search/se...d=1&my_cat_id=12&my_state=KY&my_region_id=211

There's a members 66 Sat convert in that link btw and a 64 Bel II.

Tallhair, how tall IS your hair? I have one pic of my '69 Bee from the Summer of '86. I wish I had a pic of my '65 Coronet. I'll check Craigslist. I didn't think about that. I'll keep checking the "for sale" section here and I'll keep asking around. I am afraid I wont be able to find a drivable '65 Bel I. Maybe I should think about trying for any '64-'66 or '67 b-body. I'd take a '63, but I don't like their grill/light configuration/design. I like the post cars because they look more cheap and utilitarian. Thanks!

Bee-Ski, thanks for the welcome. I hope we all get what we need and have lots of good help for each other while we are here. I love our Mopar body styles and engines. Go Mopar.

welcome to FBBO, big fan of 68-70 RR's/GTX's

I really like the '70-'71 RR's & GTX's. Black and white, or blue and white or red and white are nice combos for these cars.

Thanks again for all the welcomes, the greetings from all of you all. I feel excited to bet back home. I sure hope I can get a car soon, before Winter sets in. I unfortunately do not have a garage right now.
