I was asked by my wife to go to her brothers restaurant to pick up dinner for our three daughters as they were staying at her mothers house for the night. I jump into my freshly clayed and waxed 1969 Coronet R/T and start up the road to enjoy the nice weather in Pittsburgh. I am in the left lane with traffic to all sides of me and the guy that was following directly behind me for the last few miles decides to go to the right of me and then cut in front of me and go directly into the far left turning lane (from the far right lane). I had to slam my brakes on or I would have hit him. All he had to do was wait another ten seconds to get int the left turning lane and all would be great. I honked and proceed another 30 yards to the stop light still in the left lane. He is in left turning lane behind a line of cars and I let it go. He gets a safety green left turn arrow and as he passes me (i am at a red light) he honks and waves. Now, I am pissed. Cut someone off and then prod them instead of just letting it go. He was the last car in the turning lane and I laid tire for 50 feet as I switch over get behind him and follow him into the Lowes shopping center. He parks and I get out of my Coronet and motion for him to put his window down. He rolls down his passenger side window and I politely ask him "what was the point of cutting me off changing lanes from the far right to get into the left turning lane?" He said "Your car fumes were making me noxious and I used my turn signal." I told him my car made him noxious, but that does not excuse him almost making me crash into the back of him as I do not have modern disc brakes." I asked him to "stop driving like an asshole and have a modicum of respect for other drivers" He was apologizing non-stop as I guess he did not think I would confront him. I was going to get more into it with him, but I noticed he was gay (lisp) and I decided to drop it. A bright yellow 45 year old car gets a lot of attention...some good and some bad.

Just tell the next person that does that, that it's crap like that that makes every bodies insurance rates so high. See how they reply to that.

First of all having a lisp doesn't make him gay. Fact is you dont know if he was gay as you didnt ask and being gay has not much to do with driving like a asshole. There is plenty of straight drivers that do just that.

I did not mean to offend anyone by stating he was gay. I have known a few gay men and by all means that does not make me an expert. I can safely say he was gay by his dress and demeanor. Just to show that no matter what your sexual orientation may be, you can still drive like an idiot. I did not ask him if he we gay as I thought that would be an invasion of his privacy even though I am a Christian and believe it is wrong.

I never pull over, you never know what people are like, I just try to let crappy people like that continue on with their douchieness, however i have had some bad bouts of anger when another driver has tried to attack my car. I had one crazy chick cut me off going into DC then proceed to not only give me the finger, but slam on her brakes in an attempt to have me rear end her, I still to this day have no idea of what drugs she was on. I no longer go to Manassas Va, because it is overrun with illegals with no licenses, they are always driving on the wrong side of the road, and going 10mph below the speed limit, the politicians talk about giving them drivers licenses, but they are too dumb to even maintain speed. I used to work the booth in a park near the city and was almost run down on several occasions by crazy illegals in Honda civics. They would go into the park with no drivers license and expect to get in free, then go do drugs by the pool in front of kids. We had to call cops on them almost every weekend, I quit after two months of pure hell.

How do you know that he didn't have a gay bumper sticker, or he was driving a Prius :happy10:

I understand your frustration but he could have been a crazed lunatic and shot you. I think it's better to just let things like that roll off like water off a ducks back. There are far too many unpredictable people out there to risk an armed confrontation and someone ending up dead. Just MHO

I agree it was stupid to confront him. I simply asked him a question. I did not yell and scream at him like I wanted to do. I am not a big guy so a physical fight was not on my agenda. I just wanted to let him know that I did not appreciate him cutting me off and then taunt me by waving and honking. I carry a Heckler and Koch P2000 (.40 caliber), but I left it in my console as I was not worried about my safety. I am usually pretty laid back and I will think before I confront another motorist again.

All I can think of now is the "Honey Badger", sorry, but he deserved what he got, but in todays day & age, with all the wack jobs out there, trying to provoke someone, by either party, could end very badly... I don't always practice what I preach either...LOL...

I generally drive a beater and don't mind swapping paint if it comes to that but I'm going to do my best to make things look like it's the other guy's fault and then I'm not getting out. If the other driver decides to get out to try and make an issue with me, he better be prepared is all I can say. My first move will be to drive off.....can't say what my 2nd move will be if the first one doesn't work out, I do have other options for the crazies.

I use 115 leaded race fuel. I am not sure if it smells any better or worse than 93 octane fuel.

It is a stock engine with the exception of the cam shaft. It starts faster and seems to run better with the 115 leaded compared to 93 unleaded.

You did a lot less than what I would've done. The only reason he apologized was that you confronted him. Otherwise he probably would've gone to his buddies and told them he cut off an "old clunker" cause it was polluting his air.
