I was asked by my wife to go to her brothers restaurant to pick up dinner for our three daughters as they were staying at her mothers house for the night. I jump into my freshly clayed and waxed 1969 Coronet R/T and start up the road to enjoy the nice weather in Pittsburgh. I am in the left lane with traffic to all sides of me and the guy that was following directly behind me for the last few miles decides to go to the right of me and then cut in front of me and go directly into the far left turning lane (from the far right lane). I had to slam my brakes on or I would have hit him. All he had to do was wait another ten seconds to get int the left turning lane and all would be great. I honked and proceed another 30 yards to the stop light still in the left lane. He is in left turning lane behind a line of cars and I let it go. He gets a safety green left turn arrow and as he passes me (i am at a red light) he honks and waves. Now, I am pissed. Cut someone off and then prod them instead of just letting it go. He was the last car in the turning lane and I laid tire for 50 feet as I switch over get behind him and follow him into the Lowes shopping center. He parks and I get out of my Coronet and motion for him to put his window down. He rolls down his passenger side window and I politely ask him "what was the point of cutting me off changing lanes from the far right to get into the left turning lane?" He said "Your car fumes were making me noxious and I used my turn signal." I told him my car made him noxious, but that does not excuse him almost making me crash into the back of him as I do not have modern disc brakes." I asked him to "stop driving like an asshole and have a modicum of respect for other drivers" He was apologizing non-stop as I guess he did not think I would confront him. I was going to get more into it with him, but I noticed he was gay (lisp) and I decided to drop it. A bright yellow 45 year old car gets a lot of attention...some good and some bad.
