Wipers stop wherever they happen to be when I shut them off, is this a relay somewhere gone kaput or is the wiper motor itself?
Thanks
Rich

There is a park position on the wiper motor and mine did not work, so I purchased a new wiper motor and all was good. Also, on my E-body, I had a three speed wiper switch and the PO installed a 2 speed motor. This gave me the same effect. Again I purchased a new 3 speed motor and all was good. There is no relay in the wiring system.

Yeah, after going over the wiring diagram since my original post, I realized it had no relay...thanks just the same, hopefully, I can clean all the contacts and it may start working properly again, or I'll live with it for awhile.

FYI, there is a grounding strap on the wiper motor, usually a copper metal strip, that is very important. Make certain it is still connected and well grounded. Also, (probably not your issue) the wiper switch itself is grounded. When the wiper is turned off, basically the wires are switched and the motor is put in reverse. It goes backwards, park cam does it's thing, and wipers are ready for the next rainstorm. Turn it on, polarity is back to normal and the wipers do their thing.

I have a 73 2 speed motor in my 69 so if you need assistance let me know refreshed mine and figured out how to clock it for the park position. Also if you want to have your OEM rebuilt send it to Kim at passion4mopars.com they are the best and most helpful. Not sure why on mine but someone had cut one of the wires. Rebuilding it is easier than you think if it even moves now all you need to do is refresh it. I can walk you though it.

What is the correct color for the wiper motor? Seen some black and others plated(?) like a new starter motor.

Anodized yellow / gold color.

I may call on you, but for now, I have bigger issues, detailed in my build
