"B" Bodies With 17" Wheels.........Post Your Photos

Beautiful cars guy's, but not my cup of tea. I'll stick with the OEM style.

Why do people feel the need to chime in on a thread posting pics of cars with 17" wheels to say "not my cup of tea" To each their own but I just don't see the need to communicate an opinion like this in a thread dedicated to what you don't like

finally got all 4 wheels n tires on....im loving it so far. no rub issues, no steering issues....all good. coronet5001 (2).jpgcoronet500.jpg

If it's anywhere near my Charger's wheel wells, 10" would be no problem at all with the right BS

Yea but I think the Chargers have a touch more space back there. Looking at Goons pics, it appears a 10 would go no problem. I have N60 14s on 10" rims now and they rub only because the BS isn't right. I will be going to 18 x 10 on rear and 17 x 8 on front. All the measuring I have done says they'll go, just wanted to hear it first hand from the Goon.

Clean ride Don. Same factory color as my '67 500.
How much of a drop did you do on this? It's got a great stance.

Hey Goon, would you have been able to go with a 10" in the rear safely?[/QUOTE

Hey Runner,

Yes a 10" would clear safely I've got room to spare back there for sure

yes sir goon is right, i got 18x9.5 and i couldve gone with a 10 easy on my 70. i went with 5.75 backspacing with the 9.5

I got luck and only had to adjust the torsion bars...the car sit pretty low when I got it. I am assuming its just old factory springs, shocks....etc... so its "naturally" lowered lol.

i got the alterktion in the front with the coilovers, and the rear i went with hotchkis 1.5 lowering leaf springs and hotchkis shocks tuned by fox. i think it dropped more than 1.5 in the back, but that was what i was shooting for. gonna lower the front a little more.

How much is the alterkation supposed to drop it? Does the alterkation have dropped spindles?

not sure how much it dropped by switching to the ALTERKTION it did drop some, but you can adjust the ride height by adjusting the coilovers. i had to replace my whole front end and i wanted disc brakes so it wasnt a whole lot more to just go with the alterktion. but there is cheaper options by far.

crummy weather and scenery but here are the new wheels. Crager soft 8s 17x9 with a 275 and 17x8 with a 255 up front
