Never heard of an "HP" trans.....so can you help me understand what it is? Or is it just a trans that was behind an HP engine?

X2....
Help me with this also....

Now, my 70 Superbee has the "Heavy Duty" 26" radiator....
My 727 is "behind" the 1970 426CI Hemi...so, it must be a HP trans but....

Quite frankly, I think it's "BUNK"

Please correct me if I am wrong?
Because as you all know..."I learn something ne every day"

Chrysler made several 727 transmissions for the same year car, depending on wether it was a 2 BBL, four BBL, or behind a 440 or Hemi. The Internals are different, and ranged from 6 to 8 pinions. The part number on the case will tell you what it came behind. If you have a 440 magnum, you would want that applicable transmission behind it, if originality is Important.

here's the engine on moparts in lost and found
I have the the trans

:eusa_wall::eusa_wall::eusa_wall::eusa_wall::eusa_wall::eusa_wall::eusa_wall::eusa_wall::eusa_wall::eusa_wall:Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ........ HP Trans..... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

I'm just saying...
A 383 Superbee has the same Automatic trans as a 440 Superbee

Not so....you need to do some homework.

Both parties are correct. It depends on what year you are talking about.

In 69 the 440-6 and 383HP used the 093 transmission.
In 70 and 71 they used different transmissions.

Look at what I started, lol!!!

At least we all get an education.....

Good man! The 68 Bee had the 541 trans thru april 1968, same as the 67" GTX. Then the 093 came to be. In fact my 67" 440 HP Chrysler has the 541 transmission. A very tough unit!
