Mine is without the rubber coating and believed to be original. I have pics of a 69 R/T "Survivor" that does not have the coating. There is a hole in the passenger's side fender about six(?) inches back from the washer reservoir for the strap. (A lot of the 'wrong' things in the picture have been corrected but this shows where the strap goes.)

As stated, the one without rubber is correct, and screws to the passenger fender well. The one with rubber is for a 66-68 big block, and it bolts to the long alternator bolt if I remember correctly. The flat strap goes around the two hoses to hold them together.

What location does the flat strap go around the hoses?

I always thought the hoses went through the bracket as shown by 69Coronetrt's pic, but looking through the manual to find the answer to your question, it shows otherwise. The AC suction line is held by the bracket, and the heater hoses use two straps.

I see 2 versions.. One with rubber coating and one without.
Which is the correct bracket for heater hoses for a 69 Superbee

They are BOTH used on a '69 Super Bee.

The first one without rubber coating goes on the passenger side inner fender as shown in previous photo.

The second one with the rubber coating goes on the alternator bracket at the front of the engine.
