Hey all, just registered after browsing your fine forum for a good week solid.

There seems to be quite a few diehard Mopar fans here! I've got my first one on it's way after deciding I need a classic car. I myself am not much of a car guy (yet, that's changing rapidly), but a few buddies who damn near eat and breath cars guided me into looking around for something fun. I surprised them both with the 1967 Charger that's on the way.

I'll probably be around in one of the subforums seeking advice on planning this thing out, and I'll have to remember to post pictures once I've got it here and looking pretty. I do gunsmithing as my main hobby, so I'm at least mechanically inclined but the weeklong crash course I've given myself after picking out my new-to-me wheels has been a lot too take in. I look forward to picking your brains!

Welcome from Minnesota.

Welcome to Mopar MIT :read2: This is the site for those that want to learn and work on b bodies. It's a great forum for everything b body. Enjoy!

Howdy from a fellow Okie. I'm in Moore, where are you?

South OKC/Moore! Sounds like we're dang near neighbors.

The Charger is getting trucked to me, and it's taking it's sweet time. It's been like Christmas eve, except for a week straight! I promise pictures when it gets here!

The anticipation is hard to handle. I'm excited for you.

Take lots of photos when the Charger arrives and post them up so FBBO can see what you're working on.

Welcome!! I was born a okie and raised mainly in southern Oklahoma. I lived in Midwestcity, Delcity, Mcloud and Jones during my 20s. I miss living down there. Its good to have you here. I have a 67 as well. When you get it show it off here.

Pictures as promised! I work nights and it got here about an hour after I got off work this morning. Best end to a rough day possible! Here's my new to me 1967 Charger: Vinyl top, LA 318 motor and A904 trans.

So, after looking it over and taking it for a spin around the block,

The good:

Drives very nicely, power steering is great!
AC works!
Original Radio Works!
Cigarette Lighter Works!
Turn Signals and headlights work!
Engine starts up and idles smoothly!
Wheels, chrome trim, and top all in decent shape with some "character" marks.
Drum brakes seem to be in good working order, shifts smoothly too!
All gauges work!
Interior is good with some wear spots on the drivers seat, all other seats and headliner are flawless.

The not as good:

Flip headlight motors do not work, they are disconnected. Assumed dead motors or relays or both.
Brake lights do not work.
High beams do not work.
Hoses in engine compartment are poorly routed in places.
Electrical has been haphazardly repaired in places (loose capped contact hanging down near alternator)
Paint has been redone, and not particularly well. I'm assuming Maaco. It's not even in places, and there's a couple obvious bubbles from possible rust underneath, looks pretty good though!
Vinyl top shows bubbles along the top edge of the rear window, maybe rust.
Window washer fluid reservoir dried out and cracked.
Trunk key lock missing.
Driver side door key lock loose.
E-brake pedal stuck in off position.
Trunk emblem red paint has deteriorated and fallen away from the glass.
Tail light lens currently reads "H A R G E R". Missing a "C".

All things considered it's actually looking amazing, and all the really important stuff is there. Frame looks awesome, very little rust on the underside. Despite it's many minor flaws up close it's sure to turn heads cruising around.

Doc thanks for posting your photos of your very nice looking charger :headbang:
