I have the opportunity to buy this and all the parts. I've already bought a few parts from him for my wife's (Happytoes) 70 Coronet. What are people's thoughts on a fair price? Also how tough does it sound to sell some of the parts to recoup some of the money? I know some of the parts are Coronet only, like the front bumpers, grill inserts. but he's got 3 or 4 engines, 3 B-Body big block 727s.

not that i really need another project. but what is a price that would be dumb to pass this up for? As far as I can tell (haven't seen a fender tag). It's a Hemi Orange, 383, automatic console car with ramcharger (he has the hood but none of the rest of the stuff for the ram charger).

thanks all,

So I am not going to pay 9500 for it. But what is a good price to offer for all of it?

Looks like a great project. The value is totally depenant on the condition of the body. The value of the parts is copletely based on condition. Looks to me like a bunch of cores. Motor value depends on year. Is the interior included? If all these items are in good shape it's worth his asking price.
KID

I've been watching that one too.

Very curious about the typical body issue areas.

He had it listed for a few months and has come down just a bit on the asking price.

Did you see the loaded 71 R/T in the same state (of disassembly) listed for 16K.

IIRC that one was gone in less than two months.

I didnt look at the body closely while my wife and I were there. We were there for hard to find in good shape parts for her 70 Coronet. We bought a pair of black grill inserts that weren't broken. We also got a great front bumper setup that didnt need to be rechromed or was rusted. Just need a good polishing. Then lastly we bought a rally dash frame and gauge cluster with wood grain overlay. We need the gauge cluster and and bezel for the a set of the dakota digital gauges that fit right into the housing. Since her car will get a 6.1 and 6 speed. It's much easier to go with that gauge setup. We still arent sure if we'll use any of the 2006 300 parts we have. We might just end up using the front and rear seats.

I've got to see the condition of the body and then i may make an offer.

thanks all

we picked our barn find 70 super bee for $5500.00 it does run the only thing missing was the windshield and drive shaft which I have located. it's apart but motor and tranny are in it

I know a guy who picked up a Coronet 440 with 62,000 original miles and pretty nice for 6500.00 Do you have to buy all the parts with the car? If not, maybe buy what parts you will need, and let him deal with his leftovers. I agree with others, you really need to check that body out good, and if your not really sure what your looking at, you need to find a good bodyman who does know what he is looking at. You can tie up tons of money in a body that has just been primered up to look as though its ready for paint. Run your hands all over that car, and check to see it it's straight. They are still out there to buy. I wouldn't see any more tham maybe 5k there, myself. At close to 10k, you could add 10k and find a car basically done.

I have been watching that one on CL for the past few months as well. If the body is in really good shape... Maybe 6K? I bet cash in hand will get it down into the 6-6.5K range.

From the looks of it everything needs work and I mean everything... the fact that there are soo many parts to go with it is great, but like others said, they aren't good for much more than cores.

That Superbee project is going to cost lots of money AND time.

X2

Also been watching. Notice in his ads, he always calls it a Coronet super bee.check the vin. And the pparts he is selling to you and others, are the parts that should come with the car.

I've seen the title and the vin. When I bought the rallye dash frame for my wife's coronet we made sure to not buy the dash with the VIN for the car he is selling. So it's a Bee (WM23NO). I'm going Friday to look at the body of the car. Well if he still has it. :)
