Sorry if this sounds stupid. But will a Long Horn Cross Ram fit on a 440 Super Commando? I believe they were only used on a 413? But they should fit right? Also just for my own personal knowledge, how many blocks are there after the 383? Is it 383 426 440? Or 383, 413, 426, 440? Or am I way off? Thanks in advance. Also what's the deal with the 440 interceptor? Is it better than the Super Commando? What's the difference besides the interceptor was in the cop cars?

There were no 440 interceptors, ever. The Interceptor is a Ford term. Comparable Mopar engines were Police Pursuit specials. Engine wise, there's no real difference between the police engine and HP 440s.

However, your 413 manifold will fit the 440, also the 426 wedge, and RB 383 (1959/60 only). You've listed most of the various engine sizes, there was also the 400 that replaced the 383 and there was also a 350 and 361 cid B engine.

I don't have the manifold but before I embark I just wanted to make sure it will work. So is the 413 the 400 a 384 block with s different bore? Or do the actually have their own blocks? Thanks

There was a 350?? And 361? I knew of the 340 and 360. I thought the 350 was GM

I had that exact setup on my 68 GTX. I had it at the Airbase I was stationed and virtually would take on anybody. Worked great once the carbs were adjusted.

Big block engines....B series....350, 361, 383, 400. All of these had the same stroke. RB series engine (RB=raised block) 383 (59 and 60 only), 413, 426 wedge and 426 Hemi, 440. These engines had a longer stroke and the deck is taller than the B series engines. The 'A' and 'LA' series engines are all small blocks with the 360 being the largest....340, 318, 318 Poly Head, 273 and if you want to go back into the 50's, you'll have to look up the rest of them :D but the Poly 318 goes back into the mid 50's.

Also,
One of the concerns with the Long Ram would be engine compartment width..
I have a 71 RR with a 440 HP block. Will that work?
