Survivor '67 Hemi Coronet

Any word on how it did. Ron

looks like it sold for 62g's

with protect-o-plate and all :eusa_eh:

It sold for way to little for an original survivor. Beautiful piece of history.

Someone is going to jail for STEALING!! They STOLE that thing in my opinion.

Yeah, he was hoping for a little more than that.

That kind of parallels the experience I witnessed at the Salmon Brothers Collection Auction by Mecum a couple summer ago. They had a 66 Coronet Hemi (not R&T) and a 67 Belvedere Hemi. Both nice cars with the Coronet a repainted but very nice car except for an incorrect painted dash. The Belvedere was a former black drag car and was back in original condition but the paint was tired and checking. I thought the Coronet would go for big bucks but the Belvedere was a little tired looking and I thought I might have a shot at it. Jeez - the Belvedere shot up to about $95k just like that based on it's former racing history. Then the Coronet came up and it topped out at about $60k and they rang it sold before I could even gather my wits about it. Fooled me. Coronets may just be off a little in the market.

Now that is a great piece of history. Well worth every penny.

And why didn't you get your hands on it? Family should mean something.

I'm not sure why you would make such a bad assumption that I couldn't have the car if I wanted it. Yes, it's a cool car full of history but my garage is very full of other cars that I'd much rather have, cars that I can drive around and fry some tires with. That Coronet should be preserved and belongs with a car collector.

Seems right to me. 66 & 67's have really never been the big money cars. Just last night I saw a very nice looking 69 Hemi R.R. a34 survivor with a 92k asking price

Ya seems that car sold low looking for a 67 coronet Wo 4 speed car if you have any knowledge of another one
Thanks
