Always wanted a Mopar, and 3 years ago I purchased a 69 roadrunner 440, six pac, 4 speed, and in a very short period of time I sold it, what a mistake. Going back in time, 10 and 1/2 years ago I went to Dayton, OH to look at a 1967 Belvedere convertible, it was a rust bucket, and I did not buy it. So on my way back a friend ask me to stop and look at a 70 Charger R/T in West Virginia, it was a nice car, no rust, since I had the cash I purchased the car for him. 10 and 1/2 years later, my friend took the car apart to do a frame up and after having the car painted he stopped working on it. Make a long story short, I purchased the car from him.

welcome to FBBO from NorCal
good luck with the 70 Charger Project, looks like a great start

Welcome from south central Pa. Nice 70' Charger.
Looks like an R/T SE? Wood grain dash with pedal dress up (chrome trim), high back leather seats, I think it should have had a wood steering wheel, but I could be wrong.
Remember, picture's are worth a thousand words.

welcome to FBBO nice charger keep us posted on your progress

Great looking car - K5 is one of my favorite colors. Keep the progress pictures coming.

Hello hunt2elk, can I ask how come I see people call the exterior paint color "Burnt Orange Metallic", "K5" and not FK5?
I've seen this a few times before, and just wonder why?

The F just stands for 1970. So your fender tag should be stamped FK5.

Nice Charger and it's even my favorite color ORANGE. Looks like you've got a pretty good starting point already so dig in and enjoy!

Sorry I did not get back to answer your question as to where I live. Just got back on the website. I live in Easton, Md. I go to the coming out show every year in southern Md, St. Mary's county. How's your projects coming along?

Not sure how the black wheel go on the car. If was on the car back in 2004 when I picked up the car in WV for a friend. I will be putting on a new wood wheel. Who knows why the original wheel is missing. I will put up some pick when I getter done. And, you are right, pictures are worth a thousand words. Thanks,

I think some people call it K5 because it is burnt orange, either inside and out. Actually based on my broadcast sheet and Galen Govier's report the interior is K5 and FK5 is outside. Thanks, Bill
