Found a local guys selling a Dodge 383 Golden Lion Engine Motor With Automatic Transm

Exactly, That's why I asked what year. When he finds out what it is , he probably won't want it.

Probably a 62.

The rear of the crankshafts on the 1961 and earlier engines were different. There are so many later engines available I think I would pass on the Golden Lion and maybe let it be used for a restoration.
