What is the correct antenna for a 71 R/T charger factory AM/FM. Fixed or telescoping mast???

Well, I put this together from the collision manuals. Easier to show you than explain I guess. Also let me say this, I had a brand new 73 Charger and my Dad had a brand new Monaco back in the day ... they BOTH came with AM/FM and the 31 inch mast.
Having said that here is what the manual shows:

Im assuming the 31''inch mast on your cars were the fixed style??? If I read it correctly your repair manual shows three different lengths and four different part numbers. and again it appears (my Guess) to me that the short 31'' would be fixed and the talls would be the telescoping. Now, what radio takes what mast? AM takes telescoping and AM/FM fixed??????

My charger build is early, 9-70, with an AM/FM and rear speaker. Not sure if the AM/FM is original, but addition of the rear speaker could be a good indicator

my 71 parts car jan 26 71 was fixed not telescoping

The telescopic antennas were more fragile and easy to swap out. Lots can happen to a car in 40 years.

The antenna was the same for AM and AM/FM cars.antenna.JPG

Isn't the antenna for AM radios usually located in the radio itself as it's just coiled wire? I thought the mast antennas were just for FM reception.
