Hi Guys,

Looking to buy my first Mopar. Has to be either a 68-70 Roadrunner or GTX.

Not much to look at here in the UK so I am extending my range to mainland Europe especially as the Euro exchange rate is so good.

This one looks good

It's 29750 Euros (approx $32250)

Not sure about the trunk fin though. Can this be removed and the holes filled easily?

Also this is the VIN tag. It looks a little odd and it isn't painted. Any thoughts?

Can't imagine it would be that difficult to remove the wing....good luck on your search.

Don't mind if I do. :VB toast:

Hi Ashy22, I hope you get what you're looking for.

Yes, you can fill the trunk holes. The wing was a factory option, are you sure your car didn't come with one, or you just don't like it?
That fender tag sure looks painted in that photo. You can even see where some of it has chipped off.

I am pretty sure that it DID come with the car - but i think it spoils the lines so I would remove it.

As far as the fender tag is concerned - i thought they all got painted the same colour as the body.

Why would someone remove all the paint maybe with solvent paint remover?

I saw a car advertised the other day with a black fender tag on a light blue car. That one confused me as well!

Thanks for your Help.

your vin tag I believe is your fender tag correct. vin tag is located driver side dash.

last six numbers on vin should match last six numbers on fender tag.

As you many know, a MOPAR is more difficult than the other US brands. But well worth the extra effort. "Car people" help each other. MOPAR people tend to do even more so.
Ask lots of question here. People a happy to share knowledge, and opinions.
This car is very nice.
Yes, the fender tag should be body color. And those screws don't look correct.
It's a good bet that this car has been repainted.
Think about how old she is.

What do those sills look like in the previous post? and the underside in general.

Ok or not for a 1970 car?

The rockers look pretty good. In your situation I would try to get pictures of the wheel openings, trunk extensions and fender behind wheel and quarter behind both rear wheels. Also be sure to get good photos and examination of the rear window frame, that tends to rust out on these cars. If that is factory undercoating, it does a helluva good job preserving the floors of old mopars.

Good luck getting one of then nice Roadrunner's. I really like the 70 Roadrunner's. Ron

Making a plan to go over the channel and have a look. Wish it had a 440 in it but hey .....i bet the 383 sounds good too.:)
