The advent of computer controlled ignition has been a godsend... stable, extremely efficient fuel ignition, decent mpg's and super long lasting intervals between tune ups, some "makes" even claim 100,000 miles before service. Now before we nominate the designer of this "gift from on high" for cannonization, the dark side of this technology raises it's ugly head, remember... do not wait till the recommended plug replacement interval to check if the plugs are still free threading, I made the mistake of not checking and now I have two plugs that are seized in both sides of my 94 dodge ram's iron heads. I rarely drive it, it runs like new, so I never had a reason to mess with it...but to give the devil his due, the ceramic on the plugs were a beautiful unfouled coco brown.
The good news is I still got 18mpg highway on a 165,000 mile 5.9 pu on my 800 mile trip (@ 65mph) even with the two old plugs.

Nice. Get some penetrating spray and hose it on those seized plugs.

I've been hitting it everyday for 4 days with liquid wrench, I tried ps fluild and acetone but it didnt do a thing. well maybe it did one plug will turn a 1/4

I know it's probably risky but rattle it with an air ratchet or dare I say a quick pop with an impact wrench (if you can get on it)?

they wont fit, the plugs sit down in a heat sheild tube, but from what I've read if the plug moves back and forth it usually means a chunk of carbon is clogging the threads and that will break loose with penetrating oil and lots of paitence, at least I know that one isnt welded to the head

That's what wobble extensions are for.

I thought you might be pulling my leg LOL. I'll try them, just got back from trying the plug again and it turned way more so its looking good

Spray it with carbon remover Let sit a couple of hours. Loosen plugs spray a little more Carbon Remover. Let it sit for a bit. Then take them out This will make them easier to remove.

finally got the old plugs out! I used sea foam to do an internal engine de carbonization and it worked, I was able to muscle them outwith the 1/2 drive albeit with 1/2 turns at a time. It runs better than when I first bought it, the tires broke loose at 30mph on a gravel road...I know gravel...but still :headbang:
