How does one tighten up passenger side mirror?

1972 Satellite SP factory chrome racing mirror on the passenger door insists on dropping out of adjustment shortly after I set it where I want it. What is inside these mirrors that can be tightened or adjusted? Thank you.

I'm having the same issue on my 1972 SSP. Any help from this forum would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Someone had some success in tightening up the driver mirror with some washers inside:

There are screws inside the mirror housing that tighten the ball socket unfortunately the mirror glass will have to be removed to get to them.
