Star Spangled Banner

I saw the flag this song was written about at the Smithsonian.

The Madison Rising version was in the movie "America 2014" by Dinesh D'Souza. Generally, I do NOT like "personalized" versions of the National Anthem, but this, and Hendrix's versions are ones I can listen to.

Ha! That's where I saw it last week, at the end during the credits. I agree with you but if one can't take liberties with this song, what song can you take liberties with.

This is a tough song to rock, but I think they pulled if off quite nicely, especially the added verse. They should do one with all four original verses.

The Hendrix version is iconic but I was never a big fan of it. Plus Jimi didn't have the balls to attempt the lyrics.

I read somewhere MR played that version at Daytona and got booed out

Great version by those guys. Maybe that Jamie Fox version is more to today's citizenry's liking. You know....play that and burn a city.

...and stupid.

LMAO. I was trying to be polite.

I downloaded this to my phone Friday night after hearing it.

7 AM Saturday morning I went out to the shop to do some work. I hooked the phone into the shop stereo (4 large Technics CraigsList special speakers), opened both 16' doors and let it rip to the point of just under distortion.

Keep in mind our neighborhood is all mainly horse property type people. By 10:00 I had 3 "neighbors" stop in to ask who that was by.

I was waiting for one to stop in and bitch about blasting the Star Spangled Banner. Never happened.

I rarely sleep in but I try to on weekends....:D

The Best in the Business...his regular job is singing the National Anthem at the Blackhawks games. If this doesn't give ya chills, you need to move to another country.

And it is properly sung, might I add...

Inspirational yes I love the fact that madison rising has proclaimed that they are the most patriotic band in America. If you google them you will find they have done a bunch of other cool stuff. And if they inspire some young rockers then they have done a good thing
