Well, I just joined so couldn't put a timeline of when I started and post whenever I got something done so I've compiled a timeline from when I got the car to present. Most here can understand the hours of work that goes into something like this and believe me, I've got many hours invested in this!

Car details: 70 Satellite, 383 HP with A/C, 8-3/4 3:23 rear, Silver Black interior, bench seat, auto, originally cream color with a white vinyl top. I found out later that this was a one owner car from California. The guy I got it from owns a tow company and had picked this car up several years before I got it. It had been abandoned somewhere in southern Utah and he towed it to his yard. He was going to make a Superbird out of it, he had the original 383 built and installed in the car and the engine bay painted yellow. This was originally a 383 HP and the numbers on the block matched the fender tag but the fender tag didn't show a magnum engine. Weird! There was sandblast material everywhere in the car, the dash and every nook and cranny imaginable!

Going back to June 2005, first picture after I got the car home and in the garage.

Pictures of the condition of the car, pretty rust free other than the typical rear windo, the trunk that was completely shot (had a car battery sitting it it) and under each door. No other rusted areas that needed repair or replacement.

Pretty good dents and had about a gallon of bondo on the passenger side quarter scoop area.

Pulled the steering column, floors were in excellent shape

After pulling the engine and K frame.

Nasty job, cut out the trunk pan and get it ready for the new metal.

Cleaned up with weldable primer ready for the pan.

All welded in and seam sealer installed.

Worked many hours trying to straighten up the quarter, the scoop area was the toughest and could not ever get it just how I wanted.

Although it looks pretty decent, the nasty wrinkled dent at the rear came out great but could not get the scoop area to a point where I wouldn't need to use a ton of bondo to repair.

So I ended up cutting it out and replacing the whole thing!

Much more to follow!!!

Here are a few more showing the progress, many hours spent on frame rail connectors, cleaning and painting and coating the underside etc.

Exhaust all in, 3-1/2" collectors to 3" exhaust to the rear, Flowmaster mufflers, installed super stock springs and all new bushings.

Jump ahead to 2014, retired in January and spent a lot of time finishing things up!

Ready for paint!

While the car is in the paint booth finished up a few things needing completed, steering column, heater box rebuild etc.

Vinyl top installed, Plymouth lettering on.

Installed the fenders, new tires and wheels, headlight buckets, bumpers on!

Exhaust tips on, original plate that came on the car in late 69, dug through a lot of tags to get to the 69!

Fitting the fiberglass hood and test fit the grill.

Fiberglass hood ready to go on!

Pulled it out of the shop to see what the sunlight does for the paint, pops pretty good!

Dash, steering column, seats, carpet and floor shift all in, then off to get the windshield installed and windows tinted.

Almost done!

At the shop for window tint.

Alignment and test drive and take a few pics, ready for the drive home!

Finally home!

Went for a cruise with some of my Mopar friends and stopped for a photo op.

What a nice day, stopped in the canyon for another photo op.

Well, that's it! There's always a lot more work than what we can ever put into a thread like this, most of you know the thousands of hours it takes to do this from start to finish. Well, not ever really done, always something to tweak or upgrade or improve. Thanks for looking!

Very nice car! I'm partial to '70 plymouths, and plum crazy too. My 70 would've been purple if it didn't have a perfect blue interior :/ Beautiful car, nice job!

Damn, that purple paint is all kinds of beautiful! I love your car, perfect stance with some attitude, nice work.
