I am not a expert but I don't trust that company they were selling a 69 Chrysler convertible but it was a lowrider and was way over priced! and the car looked like hell.

Beautiful looking X. Who knows if it's as perfect as it looks. Maybe if it's a hemi and I'm a GTX lover.

I'm thinking overpriced as well. I love GTXs but... It's not a HEMI!

You're not a GTX lover?

I'm no expert, but I say no. Missing the hardest to find chrome strip under the trunk lid, wipers don't park, front passenger side cowl vents look full of polish (a real bitch to clean) and the 440+6 callouts on the hood seem to have slid backwards on the hood. :rolling:

But hey, anyone can be an armchair critic. :hello2: I would rather see a few more pictures around the car and inside etc before making my final call. :icon_thumright:

I am amazed by things some of you mopar maniacs can see in a few pictures. Details missed by most that you guys see is quite humbling

Why would they not fix the wipers and push them down for presentation? Pop them off and reset them.

Armchair critic or not, those are the kind of things that someone who is not used to Mopars would miss!

You need to expect to see inflated prices at dealerships like this. Yeah, it's about $20k to $30k too high for the market, but they have overhead to deal with and they know no one is going to come in and say "here's your asking price." They know someone's going to come in and knock the price down. They also likely have some means of getting financing arranged, and that allows them to up the price as well.

It's no concourse example but it's no rag either

IMO it is over priced too, having to cover consignment fees & sales commissions,
insurance, all the typical brick & mortar business expenses adds 15-20% EASILY
but being a retail establishment, classic car dealer, that's to expected too...

I've seen far worse, that sell for far more too...

you'll never know by photos, you have to see it in person,
personally check all the problem areas or areas prone to have issues

NADA retail guide says
add 40% over a std GTX, for the 440-6bbl option & a 4 speed {Dana-60}

$26,600 low retail lower end,
basically a 20 footer/decent driver

$64,500 middle of the road retail,
basically a 10 footer/clean driver nice represented accurate car #'s matching

$126,700 high end/pie in the sky,
basically fresh restoration or perfect survivor,
100pt concourse car 100% #'s matching etc.

the car has a few inaccurate things & a thing here or there missing possibly
I'd say about a $55k car to me tops, if it looked good in person,
most the little stuff can be fixed & found easy enough too

I don't/probably won't really ever buy anything from a classic car dealer thou...

BUT,
There's an a$$ for every seat too...

The way I see it?
Any "Classic Car" dealer is gouging the price.

yessir INDEED! I'm a rabid classic car fan..... I LOVE walking into one of their dealerships. In fact I saw the 69 z done by Azz Monkey Garage. The car was nice but the 150,000 they charged Sonic to do it was friggi'n hilarious! I saw the car and the rear quarter window welts were not replaced. Dang near EVERY neighbor was calling texting because they wont ring my door bell due to Jasper, my German Shepard (aka Cujo) they wanted me to see the awesome car next door. My neighbors son hauls classics.

Now here is the FUNNY. The show claims they DROVE it to the customer site (convention in New Orleans) just in time for the deadline for it to be given away at the Sonic Convention. Well the "show" LIED THIER AZZ OFF, because the car was parked in front of my house for 3 days in a car hauler going to New Orleans!!

I would get this 70 over that one :)

change a few little things and it is a nice car, Post car PLUS a hemi, yay..
buy for $50ish add air grabber hood, hood pins, and air cleaner, do some dash work - refinish the lower trim to start, add air grabber switch, reface the gauges, refinish the heater control, change that radio, replace the missing non a/c vent covers and the rest of the bezels should be replaced too by the look of the pictures, use the correct screws, replace them chrome switches with pg units, and then fix the hole in the console, refinish the console plastic.

I would get 15x7's steelies painted body color with f60 redlines mounted too...

add torque boxes, skid plate, put the front power brakes back in, and the correct torsion bars, 3 spd wiper, plus a few other odds and ends, figure you will spend about $5-7K with everything, but have 1 heck of a car...
Its an original bucket seat, console, 4 spd, limelight car and has a dana in it, I would love to own, but have too much going on and I would be a buyer at $46K cause I'm cheap (but I got a PERFECT complete hood and air grabber setup, would need to buy the hemi air cleaner base and paint it though...)

Any car is worth what someone will pay for it. Would I pay that much for it......NO! ( I might go to $50k though)
Disclaimer, I own a 70 GTX that I rebuilt from scratch so I know what it costs/takes to restore one! Several costly items remain to be done on that car if you are talking about that kind of money.

I hear you on that one....I have close to 100K more in my car than I will ever get back if I sold it.
