Looking for some suggestion on what company sells the most realistic (OEM correct) looking carpet for a 1972 roadrunner. My original carpet needs to be replaced and looking for period correct carpet with drivers pad and jute in the right places. Thanks

I just put in ACC carpet with the mass backing (a heavy rubber backing on the whole carpet for sound and heat insulation) in my 70 RR after I converted it to a 4 speed. Fit was very very good. I'm very happy. (you can see my thread on my installation). I got mine at Rock Auto. Best price, fast shipping.

I used ACC carpet, good quality and fits nice just wish they made a one piece as that is what the original was.

I believe there are only 2 manufacturers out there making carpets and distributing them to vendors. ACC and I cant think of the other one.

1972 did NOT have a one piece carpet, front and back section was the only way.

The other MFG is Trimparts.

The 71-74 non 4 speed carpets I have seen from ACC have a bad sag on the driver side of the tunnel.

I've heard the TrimParts product does not have this, but have not verified in person.

My ACC carpet did not have any sag in it, fits real nice.
