The wife and I were arguing the other day. I just picked up a 72 runner. TX9. Very nice, but still needs lots of odds and ends. We have lots of palm trees in the yard, and theyre always dropping fronds, as long as 12-15 feet long. The wife says I should remove the passenger seat and use not only the back seat but also the front passenger seating area and stuff them all in there to haul the fronds to the dump.
I got the car because the trunk is huge, and I have a trick of folding the fronds in half, and....perfect...I think I can stuff at least 15 fronds, plus a couple bushels of leaves in there. Only one trip to the dump that way. The trunk is HUGE.
And anyone have any advice about hooking up an 8 x12 trash hauling trailer. Is the bumper strong enough if I weld a bracket to it?

Fronds? Is that Myami or Meeami?

People used to get a hitch attached to the bumper by the trailer place(temporary, clamped on) and haul as big as a 5 by 10 trailer. My 2 cents......tell the wife you'll do it your way as you are the one doing the work. Take a stand....use those nads....

Is this you only vehicle? You can easily weld up a receiver the right way and get a $450 trailer from homedepot to tow the landscape debris. I think it would be much easier to throw them in your neighbors yard :)

Get a metal 55 gal drum and burn them..

Is this really a joke? If so, it must be a time joke....

Whaaaaaaat?

Hahhhh
Sorry.
It was a bad joke:laughing4:

That was back when cars HAD bumpers!

The passenger seat in my wifes charger is harder to get out, but it has a lot of room for fronds (palm tree branches) too.

Good looking cars. At least the pic was worth it. good luck with whatever the fronds you do.
