I'm not a patient man....

Okay Guys the appointment IS SET!!! now to get rid of this ole piece of junk Satellite..... j/k. I will have to sell as the 3 cars will not fit in the 2 car garage and TWO bbodies will absolutely not fit.

Joel.... I agree but I have cows to feed and an 18 year old going off to Texas A&M (daddy you just want me going there so you can brag about having a kid a Texas A&M ....YEP)

anyway the 3 car is out of the question LOL!

1)You can just put the road runner here. I bet i can fit another car somewhere!!

2)Get one of those lifts and stack em in the garage!

3)go back to step 1).

You have cows?? I do too!!

Yes indeed. I sorta grew up on a farm and ran like the wind ....... funny now I'm trying to get back to one after years in the corporate world.

So guys I walked through 50 yards of weeds taller than ME

Seems she is NOT a 4 speed car but automatic. Light Blue Metallic bench seat car Cant get the exact clarification on the engine but a standard 3:23 rear.... options are fender turn indicators...that's about it so far. The serial is RM and matches the RM on the fender tag

claims it was his car since 16 and just left at the abandon property. My antenna were up as he said he lost the title. then shows me a truck that he bought from his friend for sale in the same weeds.... and "lost the title". I told him no money would exchange hands until I ran the VIN!!! he claimed no rust in the floors... left side looked great right side had BIG hole. He claimed not to know about until I showed him. a few innocent holes in his story but enough for me to be cautious about. I walked today! I'm at 5 if it passed VIN test. NOT 7 oh and he claimed it was a 4 spd 383 car...its an automatic. so at this point he is a passive liar maybe not a crook liar.

the weeds you see.....I walked roughly 30 yards off the road through all that to get to the car. NO BODY would have EVER known that car was sitting there.

Get it... the resto is waiting. Save that car from those evil weeds!

My point exactly. I would start at $2K. Something fishy here.

I'm glad you chimed in. My thoughts exactly. He had some interesting story as to why he "lost" the title. Then had 64ish Chebbie pick up in the same weeds. Claims a friend needed some money and he loaned the money. kept the title and truck for the loan (he had a funny story as to why the engine was missing) first it was his friend took it out... but how could he do that if he moved to Dakota for an oil and gas job and was killed in an accident. Sorry but dead guys have a really hard time taking a motor out and losing it when YOU are in possession of the vechicle and they are dead or 1500 miles away. Fast forward this 4speed car turns out to be a automatic car when i ran the data tag last night. When I raise the hood he says "oh wow I forgot we put an automatic in it") I just smiled and kept chatting like it was no big deal. So he says oh just move any of that stuff inside you need to..... IT WAS PILED WITH JUNK!!! yet the GOOD floor pan was exposed. I move everything around and discover the BIG rusted spot in the passenger pan. I point it out since he stated that it had no rust, before I drove 3 hours to get there the pans were perfect. He acted all SURPRISED. the best part he covers it back up and said "in case anybody else looks at it" :icon_neutral:

now how can you own a car for 24 years and get confused if it was a 4 speed car vs an automatic?

Yes indeed. I walked away with two thoughts...a) I just drove 3 hours to find that I may have wasted my time...b) what an adventure for me to talk about "remember that day I ...." LOL we're gonna be special at the old folks home I'm tell'n ya!!

I do have a 67 Cuda Convertible in mind that is also "hidden". It too is in a small town and litterly 100 feet off the main road. Its in a container...been there for years. 5500.00 and it runs, or so he claims.

That car has bad vibrations.
It needs to change hands a give away price to right any wrongs associated with it and save it.

Onlyone....I'm with ya brother. I have this weird feeling about this car. I want it, but the stories are a BIG flag for me. I've done this a LOT. My first impression was that I would have to come to grips with selling my 68 Sport. I dont need 7 cars, my plans would have been to move the Caddy, sell the Sport take my 67 convertible over to the shop and park the Roadrunner smack in the MIDDLE of the garage and scrub the heck out of it.

but even last night I remembered him saying he "didn't know the right floor had a hole big enough to drop the seat through....yet he REMEMBERED the hood didnt have hinges...yet he also forgot it somebody musta put an automatic in it without him knowing it......

and then made sure to cover it up so the "next guy" won't see it . . .

I think the car is looking really good right in the field where it sits now . . .

yessir cover67.... he wanted that covered up. Guess he wanted to pass off the great floors.
