Looking for a 440 big block mostly a stocker and preferably running when pulled. Nothing fancy eventually going to rebuild it but for the time being I will drive it as is.. I'm located in South Carolina will travel to North Carolina, upper Georgia and possibly parts of Tennessee, any help would be great. Thanks, Jon

A friend of mine up here in the NE, just pulled a nice running 70' hp motor, it was rebuilt in the 90's, good strong motor has about 15K miles on it, clean as a whistle, he is going aluminum head stroker and I ma trying to convince him to sell this motor instead of taking it apart to make the stroker. Just seems like such a shame to me, its +30, has a nice street cam, steel crank, forged pistons, 906 heads, cast intake, holley carb, all balanced, just such a shame to pull it all apart...

maybe worth looking into crating it up if you can make him an offer that makes sense, I know he will want to keep the 402 oil pan and his valve covers as well as is ignition system, but I have plenty of oil pans, valve covers, and distributors... maybe something to think about..

Cool! But probably out if my budget. I'm even more considering a rv 440 to throw in and drive it for a while. Till I build it into a stroker motor.

I've got a good running 440. Fairly budget friendly. It is out of a '72 Satellite. I'm located in Tennessee. Please PM me for details.
