Raising a Kid RIGHT

That is cool! Wish I would have thought of it when my kids were that age.

I used to put my oldest son in the infamous Swing-o-matic while I worked on my car back in the late 70s. Infamous because every time my son fell asleep, it would have to be wound up again, making that horrible noise. Woke him up every time.

LOL, now a days you do something like that and people call child services on you. I have a picture of my sons both duct taped to a door, I think my oldest was 4-5 and youngest was around 3, when I built my old office I incorporated a used door that I saved from a building a demo'd years prior, it was the heaviest duty door you ever seen in your life, Hollow but made with an angle iron frame with 1/2: steel plate all the way around it even the ends!!!! It had an external lock set, the hinge was a work of art, it had 2 zerk fittings and a 1/2" solid stainless steel dowel for the pivots !! lol... We weighed it and it was heavier than the 400lb scale went to!!!
I loved that door and put it between my office and the shop in my old building, it was a lot of work to get it in, I had to weld a channel on each side and bolt them through the wooden 2 bys which were stacked 2x8's that I buried standing up before we poured the floor, it wasn't going anywhere, lol... When I sold the building, EVERYONE asked "why such a strong door" and I told them my wife used to work in the office and we needed that door to keep us apart during the work day....

BUT anyway, I was at the shop one sunday working, my little brother was with me watching the kids because my wife was working and I wasn't supposed to be working that sunday but the day before I blew the packing out of a piston on my loader so I was there on a sunday with the kids, rebuilding a hydraulic piston. My brother thought it would be funny to tape the kids to the door, he did a good job, just a few inches off the ground and at a funny angle, he taped their clothes not their skin, and they were laughing non stop, I walked over to see what was so funny and seen what he did, the door still swing perfectly so he was walking in and out of the office saying "where are the boys?" .. It was funny, so I took a picture...

A few years ago my wife put it on facebook and someone else linked it to someone else and so on and so on. But after a while of people saying how funny and cute it was, some douche bag said "that is dangerous, someone should be in jail for doing that to kids", lol and then it was 2 people and then 3, so before it was 4 people my wife deleted it, BUT i remember thinking, what *** holes, I wanted to comment back to the people but my wife was not having it and I refuse to be a facebook fag, so it ended there...

ANYWAY, cute picture...

Good story Seventy (thanks for the seats BTW). Too many *** wipes want to get into other people crap these days. Great pic too.
